2018: Put together her best season in her senior year, scoring for the first time at Pac-12s and making NCAA Prelims β¦ set a new career-best at the Pac-12 Championships, making 13-feet for the first time and going 13-2 ΒΌ to place sixth overall β¦ made it to NCAA West Prelims for the first time but was unable to clear the first heigh β¦ scored a point in the UW-WSU Dual taking third at 12-7 Β½ β¦ made 12-11 Β½ to take fourth overall at the Stanford Invitational β¦ was second at the Pepsi Team Invitational with a clearance of 12-5 ΒΌ β¦ third at the Ken Shannon Invite as she cleared 12-8 ΒΌ β¦ indoors, scored a point at the MPSF Championships with an eighth-place finish with a season-best 12-9 Β½ clearance β¦ also made 12-7 ΒΌ at the Husky Classic to tie for 10th β¦ earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2017: Set a new career-best outdoors in the pole vault and competed at both conference championships indoors and out β¦ at the Beach Invitational on Apr. 15, cleared a new PR of 12-9 Β½ β¦ was 14th at the Pac-12 Championships in the pole vault at 11-10 Β½ β¦ sixth at the UW-WSU Dual with a make of 12-0 β¦ indoors, was 11th at the MPSF Championships with an indoor season-best make of 12-6 ΒΌ β¦ also cleared 12-4 ΒΎ at two meets, the Husky Classic and the UW Indoor Open β¦ a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2016:Β Raised her PR indoors and outdoors in the pole vault and competed at both conference championships β¦ just missed scoring at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing ninth with a make of 11-10 in inclement weather β¦ set her outdoor PR at the Pac-12 vs Big Ten Invite, clearing 12-8 ΒΎ for ninth β¦ also made 12-8 at the Ken Shannon Invite to finish third β¦ tied for second at the UW-WSU Dual going over 11-5 ΒΎ β¦ indoors, scored at the MPSF Championships, tying for seventh with a PR of 12-8 β¦ cleared 12-6 ΒΌ to start the year at the UW Indoor Preview β¦ a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2015: Upped her PRs indoors and out in the pole vault β¦ competed twice outdoors, clearing 11-4 ΒΌ both at the UW-WSU Dual and at the Ken Shannon Invite, finishing eighth in both meets β¦ indoors, set a PR of 11-6 Β½ at the UW Indoor Open.
2014: Redshirted the season, competing unattached in the pole vault β¦ had a best indoor clearance of 11-0 ΒΌ at the UW Invitational β¦ outdoors, went 10-6 ΒΌ at the Ken Shannon Invitational.
High School and Personal: Born in Bellingham, Washington β¦ parents are Sally and Tom Franzen β¦ has one older sister, Tyler, who also attends UW β¦ a two-time state finalist in the pole vault, taking second at the 2012 Washington 2A State Championships and fourth in 2011 β¦ a talented all-around athlete, she won the state title in 1-meter springboard diving as a senior and set the state record after placing top-four at state the previous three years β¦ the Bellingham Herald All-Whatcom County Swimmer of the Year for 2012-13 β¦ also competed in gymnastics for nine years β¦ graduated with a 3.69 grade point average.
