Welcome to the University of Washington Sports Medicine department, where we are committed to providing comprehensive sports medicine services to Husky student-athletes. The University of Washington Sports Medicine team includes 21 Certified Athletic Trainers, 2 Physical Therapists, 12 Medical Doctors (8 Primary Care Sports Medicine Physicians & 4 Orthopedic Surgeons - all University of Washington faculty), 6 Registered Dietitians, and 6 Clinical & Sport Psychologists (also UW faculty). The UW Sports Medicine’s multi-disciplinary approach to student-athlete health care utilizes current concepts and evidence-based medicine to maintain the health and well-being of over 600 student-athletes.
