2019: Closed out her career by breaking her own school record in the hammer throw once again and becoming an All-American for the first time … earned Second Team All-America honors after placing 16th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer with a best of 204-6 … qualified for her first NCAA Championships appearance by taking fifth at NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento, throwing 206-5 … broke her school record by seven feet at the Beach Invitational with a toss of 208-3 … won the hammer at the National Relay Championships in Arkansas with a throw of 193-10 … upped her discus PR to 162-8 with a win in the collegiate section at the Stanford Invitational, going to 10th in school history … won the hammer at the UW-WSU Dual at 191-8 … had a tough Pac-12 meet, finishing 11th in the hammer with her shortest mark of the season at 181-10 and 12th in the discus at 153-9 but bounced back in a big way at the West Prelims two weeks later … indoors, moved up to No. 2 in school history in the weight throw with a PR of 64-0 1/4 at the Last Chance Elite Meet … scored in fourth-place at the MPSF Championships in the weight with a best of 61-11 3/4 … second in the weight at the UW Invitational throwing 62-9 1/2.
2018: Redshirted the season to preserve a year of eligibility … competed unattached once outdoors and twice indoors … outdoors, won the hammer at the Ken Shannon Invite with a toss of 195-11 and was fifth in the discus at 136-6 … indoors, had a weight throw best of 56-2 at the Husky Classic for 16th-place.
2017: Became the school record-holder in the hammer throw with an outstanding Pac-12 Championships performance that saw her finish as the conference runner-up … at the Pac-12 meet in Eugene, had the first throw over 200-feet in Husky history as she finished second with a mark of 201-6 to break her own school record … first set the school record, breaking Elisa Bryant’s 2012 mark, at the Beach Invitational where she threw 198-11 on Apr. 14 … advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Championships for the second time and finished 25th with a toss of 191-9 … won the hammer in the UW-WSU Dual at 193-2 and was second in the discus at 144-0 … got a win at the OSU High Performance Meet with a big hammer toss of 197-0 … indoors, set a new PR in the weight throw at the UW Indoor Open, winning with a mark of 59-10 ½ to improve her No. 2 mark in UW history … 10th at the MPSF Championships in the weight throw at 57-5 ¾ … also threw 57-6 ½ at the Husky Classic for 10th … earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2016: Made big strides in the hammer throw, scoring for the first time at the Pac-12 Championships and advancing to her first NCAA West Preliminary Championships … threw a new hammer PR of 189-7 to win the Ken Shannon Invite, and move up to No. 3 in school history … also got the win in the hammer at the UW-WSU Dual with a toss of 187-7 … placed fifth in the hammer at the Pac-12 Championships, throwing 187-8, and also was 16th in the discus at 140-1 … threw 177-4 in the hammer at West Prelims in Kansas, finishing 41st … third in the hammer at the Pepsi Team Invite, going 179-6 … fifth at the Pac-12 vs Big Ten Invite with a hammer toss of 179-4 … season-best discus throw was 149-5 at the Pepsi Team Invite for fifth-place … indoors, was 14th in the weight throw at the MPSF Championships, tossing 55-7 … season-best weight throw of 56-3 ¾ at the Husky Classic.
2015: Competed at both conference championships in her first season, making the school top-10 lists in both the hammer throw and weight throw … competed in the hammer throw at the U.S. Junior Championships, finishing 12th with a toss of 163-4 … won the Ken Shannon Invite hammer with a PR of 174-0, the No. 4 mark in school history … had her best discus toss of the year at the Pac-12 Championships, throwing 142-5 to finish 10th … was second in the discus at the UW-WSU Dual with a toss of 140-8, and fourth in the hammer at 153-4 … at the Pepsi Team Invite, placed sixth in the discus at 128-10 and fifth in the hammer at 150-9 … indoors, had the No. 2 weight throw toss in school history at the UW Indoor Open, winning it with a throw of 57-10 ½ … was 16th at the MPSF Championships in the weight throw at 53-3 … also threw 53-7 in the weight at the Husky Classic for 13th.
High School and Personal: Born in Seattle … parents are Gladys and Emmanuel Chibuogwu … has one older brother, Emmanuel, one older sister, Chisom, who also attends UW, and one younger sister, Uju … Emmanuel plays basketball at Seattle University … took fourth at the Washington 3A state meet in the discus as a senior, throwing 127-1 in the final, despite missing much of the season with an injury .. had a 2014 season-best throw of 132-9 in the discus … also a regular relay runner, making it to state in the 4x100m as a junior … reached the state meet in the discus as a sophomore in 2012, placing 11th overall … triple jumped as well, taking fourth at WesCo at 33-4 in 2012 … won the WesCo discus title as just a freshman at 108-10 and made state on the 4x100m and 4x200m relays … track team Heart of a Champion award winner in 2014 … a standout basketball player, earning 2014 Team MVP honors and Seattle Times Player of the Week in 2012 … a 2014 Everett Herald Girls Athlete of the Year nominee … graduated with a 3.61 GPA.
