2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): Competed five times during the indoor season … finished with his best clearance, making 16-1 3/4 at the MPSF Championships to finish eighth and score his first team point … also made 15-7 3/4 at the UW Last Chance Meet for third.
2019: Redshirted his first season on the squad.
High School and Personal: Born in Caldwell, Idaho … parents are Gretel and Steven Care … has one older brother, Nick, and one older sister, Katie … father rowed collegiately at Yale and was a semi-pro mountain bike racer … brother ran cross country and track at Oberlin College … a 16-foot vaulter in high school, making 16-1 at the 2018 Arcadia Invitational for his personal-best … coached by Olympic women’s pole vault champion and former World Record-holder Stacy Dragila … set club record for Dragila’s pole vault club … took second at 2018 Oregon Relays making 15-5 … fourth at the 2018 Simplot Games indoors … earned Coaches Choice Award in 2017 and 2018 and a Heart of the Brave Award for embodying school spirit … graduated with a 3.8 GPA.
