2015 All-America Honorable Mention (Pole Vault, Indoors)
2018: Competed just three times indoors and twice outdoors in the pole vault his final year, but indoors was the MPSF Championships runner-up … at the MPSF meet, cleared 17-0 ¾ to take second to teammate Chase Smith … also cleared 17-1 ¾ at the UW Invitational to take the victory … outdoors did not clear a height at two meets.
2017: Made it back to the NCAA West Preliminaries in the pole vault and was one of four Huskies to clear 17-feet outdoors … at the NCAA Prelims in Austin, made 16-10 ¾ to finish 27th overall … season-best clearance of 17-0 ¾ came at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, tying for third … tied for the win at the UW-WSU Dual in stormy weather, making 15-5 … had a 16-7 ¼ clearance at the Texas Relays … did not make a bar at the Pac-12 meet … indoors, had one mark, clearing 16-1 ¾ at the SPU Final Qualifier.
2016: Had a full indoor season in the pole vault, clearing 17-feet on three occasions … made it over a season-best 17-3 at the SPU Final Qualifier to cap the indoor season … cleared 17-1 ¾ at the UW Indoor Open, and also cleared 17-1 at the UW Invitational for third-place … made 16-8 at the Husky Classic for 12th … dealt with some injury issues outdoors and competed just twice, and did not get a clearance.
2015: Burst onto the scene at his first indoor meet of the year and continued on with a great first season competing in uniform, scoring at Pac-12s and making it to NCAA Indoors ... at his first Pac-12 Championships, finished fourth-place with an outdoor season-best clearance of 17-2 3/4 ... took second in the vault at the UW-WSU Dual with a clearance of 16-9 1/2 ... tied for second at the Pepsi Team Invitational with a make of 16-6 3/4 ... also went 16-6 3/4 at the Ken Shannon Invitational ... qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in his first official college season, but no heighted at the national meet, earning All-America honorable mention ... burst out of the gates with a huge PR by more than a foot, clearing 17-10 1/2 at the UW Indoor Preview ... followed that up with a make of 17-5 at the UW Invitational ... upped his PR again to 17-11 1/4 at the Husky Classic, getting the win, and moving to No. 4 on the Husky indoor top-10 list ... tied for sixth at the MPSF Championships with a clearance of 17-0.
2014: Redshirted the season to preserve a year of eligibility, but had some strong performances competing unattached in the pole vault … three times vaulted over five-meters, going 16-7 ¼ at the Ken Shannon Invitational and 16-5 ¼ at the Washington Open outdoors, and indoors clearing a best of 16-7 ½ at the Husky Classic to finish seventh.
High School and Personal: Born in Seattle … mother is Wendy Marcus, who also attended Washington … has one older brother, Cary, and four older sisters, Sophie, Courtney, Eve, and Shira … the Washington 3A State runner-up in the pole vault in 2013, and also owner of the second-best clearance during the season as he jumped 15-10 to win the Metro League title … won three-straight Metro League titles and two district vault titles … jumped 15-9 to win the 2013 district meet … competed at Junior Olympic Nationals in 2011 in Kansas, finishing 10th in the vault.
