2019: Earned her first All-America honor as part of the distance medley relay squad that finished seventh at the NCAA Indoor Championships and qualified for NCAA Prelims once again outdoors in the 800-meters ... ran the 800m leg on the DMR at NCAA Indoors as the team finished in 11:10.94 to earn First Team All-America ... also ran the 800m leg on the DMR at the UW Invitational that ran 11:00.35 to qualify for NCAAs with the third-fastest time in UW history … finished 29th overall at NCAA West Prelims in her final race as a Husky, running 2:08.40 … 12th in the 800m at the Pac-12 Championships in a time of 2:08.36 … fifth in the 800m invite at the Cardinal Classic in 2:07.58 … part of the winning 4x400m relay and second in the 800m at the UW-WSU Dual … ran an indoor PR of 2:06.98 at the MPSF Championships to take sixth in the 800-meters and go to fourth in school history indoors … also ran on the 4x400m relay at MPSFs, taking sixth in 3:44.85.
2017-18 (Track): The top Husky 800-meter runner once again and had a 1,500m PR as well … ran a 1,500-meter lifetime-best of 4:23.75 at the Bryan Clay Invite … was qualified for NCAA West Prelims in the 1,500m but had an ankle injury on the practice day and could not compete … ran the 800m at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing 21st in 2:12.29 … season-best 800m was a 2:07.97 victory at the UW-WSU Dual … fifth in the 800m at the Pepsi Team Invite in 2:11.71 … indoors, ran an 800m PR of 2:07.48 at the Husky Classic to go to No. 4 in school history … ran the 800m leg on the distance medley relay that won the MPSF Championship title in 11:07.43, the sixth-fastest time in school history … also ran on the DMR that won the UW Invitational in 11:08.83 ... (Cross Country): Raced twice during the fall, starting at the Sundodger Invite, placing 49th overall in 22:54 … ran at the Emerald City Open and finished 15th.
2017: Made big strides in her second full season, jumping up to No. 2 in school history in the 800-meters, scoring at the Pac-12 Championships and reaching the NCAA Outdoor quarterfinals … a breakthrough performance at the OSU High Performance Meet, as she PR’d by over two seconds to win her heat in 2:04.79, just the second Husky to break 2:05 … made her first Pac-12 Championships final and placed seventh in the final in 2:08.50 … made NCAA West Prelims for the second time, advanced through the first round and was 19th overall in the quarterfinals in 2:09.42 in Austin, Texas … won the 800-meters by a wide margin at the UW-WSU Dual, taking a big early lead to the win in 2:07.89, and ran on the winning 4x400m relay … had a win in her section at the Mt. SAC Relays, crossing in 2:07.13 … opened her outdoor season with another win at the Trojan Invitational in 2:07.96 … part of the 4x400m relay that ran 3:39.62 at the Trojan Invite to go to No. 7 in school history … indoors, was eighth at the MPSF Championships in the 800-meters in 2:10.43 and part of the fourth-place 4x400m relay in 3:43.22 and also ran the 800m leg of the DMR that took third in 11:14.37 … helped the 4x400m relay break the school record at the UW Invitational with a time of 3:42.58 … ran a new indoor 800m PR of 2:08.08 at the Husky Classic for 13th overall and moved to No. 6 in school history … won her 800m section at the UW Invitational in 2:09.25.
2016: A strong redshirt freshman season, qualifying for the NCAA West Preliminary Championships in the 800-meters as well as on the 4x400-meter relay … made it to West Prelims in Kansas in the 800-meters by virtue of her season-best time of 2:07.92, which was good for 12th overall at the Pac-12 Championships … led off the Husky 4x400m relay which ran the second-fastest time in school history at the Pac-12 meet, going 3:38.88 for fifth-place … led the relay again at West Prelims, as the group finished 23rd in 3:39.87 … got a big win in a 400-meter PR of 55.63 seconds at the UW-WSU Dual and helped the 4x400m relay beat the Cougars in 3:39.30 … had a heat win at the Stanford Invitational in the 800-meters running 2:08.85 … fifth in the 800m at the Pepsi Team Invitational in 2:10.59 and ran on the 4x4 that went to No. 8 in school history with a time of 3:41.77 … indoors, went to No. 8 in school history at 800-meters with a time of 2:09.05 at the UW Invitational … ran the 800-meter leg on the DMR at the MPSF Championships which placed fifth in 11:23.26 and also was 17th in the open 800m in 2:11.89.
2014-15 (Track): Redshirted the season … competed unattached at the Ken Shannon Invitational, running the 800-meters in 2:14.76 ... (Cross Country): Redshirted the season, competing just once unattached, as she finished 40th overall at the Sundodger Invitational in West Seattle.
High School and Personal: Born in Tacoma, Washington … parents are Karyn and David Derby … has one younger brother, Jackson … claimed the Washington 4A State Championship at 400-meters all four years of her career, winning the fourth in 2014 in a time of 55.69 seconds on the same day that she finished third in the 800-meter final in a career-best 2:10.03 … anchored the 4x400m relay team to 4A state titles in 2011 and 2012 … won Narrows League titles at 800-meters in 2012 and 2013 and won four straight at 400-meters … took second in the 800-meters at the 2014 Arcadia Invite in 2:10.59 … ran three times at the 4A state cross country championships, with a best finish of 18th in 2011 and was also 25th in 2012 … placed 18th at the Nike Cross Nationals Northwest Regionals in 2013 … the Tacoma Athletic Commission All-Around Athlete of the Year in 2013-14, and the Track Athlete of the Year in 2011-12 and 2012-13.
