2018: Led the Dawgs in the shot put and discus once again and scored at Pac-12s and reached NCAA Prelims … at her final NCAA West Preliminary Championships, set a new shot put PR of 51-2 ¼ to finish at No. 6 in school history … was seventh in the shot put at the Pac-12 Championships at 49-8 ½ and 17th in the discus at 143-3 … won the shot put and the discus at the UW-WSU Dual for the fourth year in a row, going 49-10 ½ in the shot put and 158-10 in the discus … also won both events at the Ken Shannon Invite, throwing 49-7 ¼ in the shot put and 157-3 in the discus … eighth in the discus invite at the Stanford Invitational at 158-5 … took second in the shot put at the Trojan Invite at 49-1 ½ … indoors, was ninth in the shot put at the MPSF Championships, throwing 50-0 ½ … season-best shot put indoors of 50-5 ½ at the UW Indoor Preview … also threw 50-1 ¼ at the Husky Classic for fourth … a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2017: One of the great stories of the 2017 season as she returned to action for the first time in nearly a year at the UW-WSU Dual and went on to take Pac-12 runner-up honors in the discus throw in just her fourth meet of the season … as of April, did not know if she would ever compete again due to a chronic knee problem, but after getting cleared by the medical staff she had one week to practice before the Dual Meet on Apr. 23, and she came back by winning the shot put at 48-3 ¼ and winning the discus at 148-11 in wet and cold conditions … had a thrilling performance at the Pac-12 Championships as she threw a new discus PR of 170-6 to take second-place, the highest finish by a Husky in the event since 1999, and she also had an outdoor shot put PR of 50-7 ½ to take seventh-place for 10 total points … new discus PR moved her to No. 6 in school history and shot put PR to No. 7 in school history … qualified for NCAA West Preliminaries in both events, taking 23rd in the shot put at 50-3 ½ but fouled in the discus … also threw at the OSU High Performance Meet, taking second in the shot at 49-5 and fifth in the discus at 154-5 … won the discus at the Ken Shannon Invite with a toss of 167-9 and second in the shot put at 48-6 ¼ … a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2016: Fought back from a knee issue to lead the team in the shot put and discus once again … just missed scoring at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing ninth-place in the shot put with a season-best toss of 50-feet, 2.75-inches … won the shot put and the discus at the Ken Shannon Invite, going 49-7 in the shot put and 147-5 in the disc … also swept the shot and discus at the UW-WSU Dual Meet, with a 150-5 mark in the discus and a 49-7 ¼ put … opened her year in April after nursing a knee issue earlier in the season, and started with an eighth-place shot put finish at the Pepsi Team Invitational at 47-11 and also was fourth in the discus at 153-11.
2015: An impressive redshirt freshman season as she scored at the Pac-12 Championships in both the discus and shot put, advanced to NCAA West Prelims in both events, and made the Husky top-10 lists in both … at her first Pac-12 Championships, became the first Husky woman to score in the shot put since 2004, as she was eighth with a mark of 48-5 ½, and she also took seventh in the discus with a best of 164-4 … at the NCAA Preliminary Championships in Austin, threw a discus PR of 168-0 to finish 28th, and also had her second-best shot put mark of 49-10 to finish 22nd in the fields of 48 … that discus mark moved her to seventh in school history … swept the shot put and the discus at the UW-WSU Dual, going 167-6 with the discus and 46-9 ½ with the shot … also won both events at the Ken Shannon Invite, with a shot put of 48-10 ¾ and a discus throw of 162-1 … another win came in the shot put at the Pepsi Team Invitational, with a top outdoor shot put of 50-feet, 4-inches, moving her to No. 7 on the top-10 list, and was second in the discus at 156-5 … her first official mark in uniform was the best indoor shot put by a Dawg since 1988, as she went 51-5 ½ to set the freshman school record and move to No. 2 in school history … fourth in the Husky Classic shot put at 48-11 ½ … shortest mark indoors was at the MPSF Championships, finishing 12th at 46-0.
2014: Redshirted the season after injuring her foot right before the start of the indoor season … was able to return to competition outdoors, competing unattached in the shot put and discus … would have had the team’s top marks in the shot and discus, as she had a season-best of 49-5 in the shot put and 155-0 in the discus, both at the Ralph Vernacchia Invite … won the Ken Shannon Invite discus at 153-7, and was second in the shot put at 47-5 ¼.
High School and Personal: Born in Bellingham, Washington … parents are Jan and Ted Flint … has one older sister, Kyann … several relatives are UW alumni including her father and grandfather William Flint … mother played basketball and tennis in college … ranked as one of the best discus and shot put throwers in the nation as a senior, taking first in every competition she entered at the state level … her discus PR of 168-feet, set in winning the 2013 district title, ranked her seventh in the nation in 2013 … also established a new shot put career-best at 2013 districts, throwing 48-2 ½ to rank 13th nationally … swept the Washington 2A state titles in the shot put and discus in both 2013 and 2012 … at the 2013 state meet, broke the 2A meet records in the shot at 47-6 ¾ and the discus at 161-11 … her personal bests also set the 2A overall state records … won the 2013 BorderDuel Track Classic with meet records of 46-6 in the shot put and 158-2 in the discus … the 2013 Bellingham Herald and Whatcom Country Track and Field Athlete of the Year ... raised her personal best in the shot put by nearly six feet from her sophomore to junior year, and her discus PR by nearly 20 feet in that same span ... swept the Northwest Conference title in the shot put all four years and her final three years in the discus ... was second at state in the shot and third in the discus as a sophomore in 2011 … also lettered two years in basketball … a distinguished singer, named to the All-State Women’s Ensemble in 2012 and All-Northwest Women’s Ensemble in 2013 … graduated with a 3.6 grade point average … chose Washington over Purdue, Stanford, Kentucky, Washington State, Oklahoma, and Montana State.
