2019: A full indoor season in the 400-meters then raced twice outdoors β¦ scored a point at the UW-WSU Dual with a third-place finish in the 400-meters in 58.74 β¦ indoors, ran a season-best 400m of 57.34 at the Last Chance Elite Meet β¦ ran on two 4x400m relays, a best of 3:50.21 at the UW Indoor Preview for third β¦ ran the 400m leg on the DMR that was ninth at the UW Invitational in 11:36.62.
2018: First year on the squad helped produce a school record in the 4x400m relay indoors and an MPSF title on the distance medley relay β¦ outdoors, ran a season-best 400-meters of 55.87 at the Mt. SAC Relays β¦ was fifth at the UW-WSU Dual in 57.64 seconds for 400m β¦ ran on the winning 4x100m relay at the Ken Shannon Invite which went 46.21 β¦ indoors, ran the 400m leg on the DMR that won MPSFs in 11:07.43, the No. 6 time in school history β¦ anchored the 4x400-meter relay that crushed the indoor school record by nearly five seconds at the Don Kirby Invite, running 3:37.74 (converted from 3:37.30 for altitude) β¦ ran a 400m season-best of 55.79 at the UW Invitational to go to No. 10 on the indoor top-10 list β¦ an indoor 200m season-best of 25.41 at the Don Kirby β¦ also ran 400m leg on winning DMR at UW Invitational in 11:08.83 ... named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2017 (At Texas): Competed four times outdoors but did not compete after April β¦ ran a 200m time of 24.38 and a 400m time of 56.95 at the Longhorn Invitational β¦ indoors, was 19th at the Big 12 Indoor meet in the 400-meters in 56.72 and ran the 400m leg on the DMR that took third in 11:34.14 β¦ ran in Seattle at the Husky Classic, running 57.16 for 400-meters for 11th and 25.62 for 200m β¦ a 400m time of 56.31 at the Texas A&M Team Invite in the indoor opener β¦ named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.

2016 (At Texas): Finished 24th in the 400-meters at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships as a freshman β¦ best outdoor time of the season was 55.51 seconds at the Power Conference Cardinal & Gold meet β¦ also had a season-best 24.43 200-meter time at the same Power Conference meet β¦ 15th at the Texas Relays in the 200-meters in 24.60 β¦ best 400-meter time of the season came indoors, as she ran 55.38 at the Tyson Invitational and was part of a 4x400m relay that clocked 3:39.07 β¦ was 10th in the 400-meters at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in 55.50 and 19th in the 200-meters in 24.93 β¦ part of a speedy 4x4 relay in her first indoor meet at the Texas A&M Team Invite, as the team ran 3:33.80 for first β¦ on the 2016 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

High School and Personal: Parents are Pamela and Peter Tjernagel β¦ has three siblings, Anja, Ben, and Lexie β¦ cousin Aaron Brown was a standout All-American sprinter at USC β¦ set B.C. records in the 100-meters, 200-meters, and 400-meters all in the same weekend in California β¦ at the 2015 Bryan Clay Invite, ran a 400-meter PR of 52.52 seconds and a 200-meter PR of 23.34 and at the Beach Invitational clocked a 100-meters PR of 11.58 β¦ the 400m 52.52 time was fastest in the world in 2015 for a woman under 20 years old β¦ competed at the 2014 World Junior Championships for Canada, running the 200m and going 23.75 in the prelims to make the semis where she finished 12th overall β¦ also competed at the 2013 World Youth Championships, making the 200-meter semis and finishing 22nd β¦ won three straight British Columbia High School Championships at 200-meters from sophomore to senior years and won the 100-meter titles as a junior and senior, and was second in the 400-meters as just a sophomore in 55.45 seconds.
