2017: Scored in the decathlon at the Pac-12 Multi-Events for the second year in a row, and upped his decathlon PR while also taking fourth in the heptathlon at the MPSF Championships indoors âĶ went to No. 8 in school history in the decathlon with a score of 7,166 points at the California Invitational Multis where he set PRs in the 100m (10.93), the pole vault (16-4 Âū), the shot put (42-1 ž), and the javelin (127-4) âĶ had a career-best seventh-place finish in the Pac-12 decathlon with 6,577 points despite a foul in the discus, as he had PRs in the 100-meters (10.87) and javelin (132-9) and ran a slightly wind-aided lifetime-best in the 110m hurdles (14.95/+2.1), and was just off his PR in the long jump at 22-5 âĶ set a long jump PR at the UW-WSU Dual, taking third at 22-5 Âū, and was fifth in the high jump at 6-5 Â― âĶ came back to compete in the open pole vault at Pac-12s, finishing ninth at 15-5 Âū âĶ indoors, scored 5,424 points for fourth in the heptathlon at MPSFs, including a pole vault PR of 15-9, and a winning high jump clearance of 6-8 âĶ also had a season-best high jump clearance of 6-8 Âū at the Husky Classic âĶ named a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention and was a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team selection.
2016: Scored at both conference championships for the first time indoors and outdoors, setting PRs in the decathlon and the heptathlon âĶ placed eighth at the Pac-12 Multi-Events at Husky Track with a decathlon career-best score of 6,945 points which included PRs in the 110m hurdles (15.17) the long jump (22-3) and the final 1,500-meters (4:48.90) âĶ also took second in the Pac-12 Multis in the high jump with a 6-8 clearance and in the pole vault at 15-1 âĶ also completed a decathlon at the California Invite Multis, scoring 6,612 points and setting a 100m PR of 11.00 and a pole vault PR of 15-9 âĶ scored in the UW-WSU Dual with a third-place high jump make of 6-7 âĶ indoors, put up the No. 2 heptathlon score in school history at the UW Invitational, with a total of 5,457 points, finishing third âĶ in the UW Invite, had a 60m PR of 7.07, a pole vault best of 15-5, a long jump best of 21-7 ž, and a 1,000m PR of 2:48.15 âĶ at the MPSF Championships, he scored with a seventh-place finish with 5,356 points, including a shot put PR of 42-3 ž and a 60m hurdles PR of 8.41 seconds âĶ a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team selection âĶ a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2015: Competed in the multi-events, finishing two decathlons outdoors including at the Pac-12 Multi-Event Championships âĶ at the Pac-12 Multis, he set a decathlon PR of 6,614 points, placing 13th overall âĶ at Pac-12s, had PRs in the 100m (11.19), the shot put (37-3), the 400m (49.44), the discus (103-10), the pole vault (14-2 Â―), the javelin (119-1), and the 1,500m (4:53.61) âĶ also competed regularly in the high jump, getting a PR of 6-9 at the UW-WSU Dual where he took second âĶ also completed the decathlon at the California Invitational, scoring 6,451 points âĶ indoors, posted the sixth-best heptathlon score in school history as he scored 4,959 points at the UW Invitational, finishing 10th âĶ earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2014: Redshirted the season to preserve a year of eligibility, competing several times unattached âĶ outdoors, competed at the Washington Open and Ken Shannon Invite, completing six of the ten decathlon events âĶ indoors, completed a full heptathlon at the UW Invitational, scoring 4,731 points which would have ranked seventh in school history if done in uniform âĶ in the UW Invite heptathlon, he took first in the high jump with a season-best make of 6-8 Âū âĶ had a best 60m hurdles time of 9.20 seconds at the Husky Classic and went a 60m PR of 7.25 at the SPU Final Qualifier.
High School and Personal: Born in Spokane, Wash. ... parents are Kristie and Paul Jensen ... has two older brothers, Eric and Luke ... a three-time team captain who was a two-time scorer at the state meet in the high jump, as well as taking on the decathlon ... was second at the Washington 3A state meet as a junior, going 6-6 in the high jump ... also took sixth in the high jump at state as a senior ... placed seventh in the Washington State Decathlon Championships in 2013, scoring 5,288 points ... graduated with a 3.8 GPA and is considering studying aerospace engineering at UW.
