2017-18 (Track): Ran just once on the season, racing the mile at the UW Invitational, crossing in 4:21.08 ...ย (Cross Country): Raced three times in the fall, starting with a ninth-place finish at the Sundodger Invitational in 24:44 โฆ at the Dellinger Invite finished in 24:29 for 52nd-place, 10th on the squad โฆ ran the B-race at the Wisconsin Invitational placing 82nd overall in 26:41 โฆ a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2016-17 (Track): Competed three times during the indoor season and then redshirted the outdoor season โฆ had a top 3,000-meters time of 8:28.33 at the UW Invitational โฆ ran one 5k, taking second in his section, in a time of 14:42.26 ...ย (Cross Country):ย Redshirted his first season, competing twice unattached โฆ finished 38th at the Washington Invitational unattached, crossing in 24:45 โฆ also ran at the Sundodger, placing 33rd overall in 25:36.
High School and Personal: Born in Seattle โฆ parents are Julia and Don Strome โฆ has one brother, Peter, and one sister, Sara โฆ father and several other relatives attended Washington โฆ father was an ultra-marathon runner and competed in Western States 100 โฆ was the Texas 6A cross country state champion in 2014, and finished third at state in 2015 โฆ ran at the 2015 USA Junior Cross Country Championships, finishing 15th over the 8,000-meters, and also ran at the championships in 2014, finishing 18th โฆ won the Nike South Invitational 5k in 2015 in 15:31 โฆ area champion on the track in 2016 in the 1,600m and 3,200m โฆ as a junior in 2015, was sixth in the 3,200-meter state finals โฆ third at the 2015 Texas Distance Festival in the 5,000m in 14:55 โฆ ran at the 2014 Nike Cross Nationals and finished 86th โฆ fourth at the Texas Relays as a senior in the 3,200m in 9:14.38 โฆ has run the 10k distance, setting the 10k record at the Fort Worth Cowtown meet at 31:00 โฆ graduated with a 3.8 GPA.
