
Washington to Host Oregon for Senior Day Sunday

SEATTLE -- Washington women's basketball (14-11, 6-9) is set to take on Oregon (14-12, 5-10) for the final home game in Alaska Airlines Arena of the season, and the second meeting of the year between the programs. The game tips off Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1:00 p.m. PT and will be aired on Pac-12 Networks with Elise Woodward and Alyssa Charlston on the call. Gary Hill will call the action on 1090 KPTR-AM.
SENIOR DAY
Washington will be recognizing its six outstanding seniors at the game for Senior Day: Lexi Griggsby, Emma Grothaus, Trinity Oliver, Darcy Rees, Haley Van Dyke, and TT Watkins.

Washington earned the season sweep of Oregon State for the first time since the 2012-13 season, and the first time the Huskies defeated OSU at home since 2015. Haley Van Dyke led all scorers with a season high 17 points. Dalayah Daniels (11 points), Elle Ladine (11), and Lauren Schwartz (10) all also scored in double digits. The Huskies recorded 10 three-pointers, a season high, off a 47.6% three-point field goal percentage, higher than their season and conference averages. Jayda Noble recorded a career high and game-leading nine assists, team-leading eight rebounds, three steals, and a block. UW out-rebounded Oregon State 37-28 and forced 21 turnovers, well over OSU's average of 14.9 turnovers per game in conference play.

Washington returns eight Huskies from last season with Lauren Schwartz, Jayda Noble, Haley Van Dyke, Nia Lowery, TT Watkins, Trinity Oliver, Lexi Griggsby, and Darcy Rees. Fans will see six new faces on the team this season, as the Huskies welcomed four freshmen from California - Hannah Stines, Teagan Brown, Shayla Gillmer, and Elle Ladine - and two transfers, Dalayah Daniels (Cal) and Emma Grothaus (Lehigh).
2023 Signing Class
Washington women's basketball welcomed four new Huskies on National Signing Day (11.09.22) with ESPN.com's 14th-ranked recruiting class. This is the second class in a row ranked in the Top 15 that Coach Langley and staff have signed. The Huskies added four standouts to the program with Olivia Anderson, Chloe Briggs, Ari Long, and Sayvia Sellers.
On November 15, the Atlanta Tipoff Club named Long and Sellers to the 2023 Jersey Mike's Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List. Long and Sellers are two of the 50 girls named to the watch list. On January 11, Sellers was one of 25 named to the Naismith High School Midseason Team. On January 11, Briggs, Long, and Sellers were named 2023 McDonald's All American Games Nominees.

UW kept Oregon shooting under their season average, holding the Ducks to 41.1% when their field goal percentage on the season coming into the game was 46.7% (42.4% in conference play).
