SEATTLE — Washington women's basketball senior guard Elle Ladine has received a training camp invitation from the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), the team announced on Tuesday.
Ladine's name is a mainstay in the Washington record books, as she became the 13th player in program history to record over 1,300 points and 500 rebounds. She sits at eighth all-time in Husky history with 166 3-point field goals made and fourth with a lifetime free throw percentage of 80.3%. Ladine also became just the fourth player in program history to record 40 points in a single game, doing so against Northwestern in 2024.
Additionally, Ladine was a member of the 2024-25 All-Big Ten Second Team, a 2023-24 All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention, and a 2022-23 Honorable Mention for the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. She was also named a USBWA Player of the Week for her performance against the Wildcats.
As a member of Langley's first recruiting class, Ladine helped transform the Husky program during her four seasons on Montlake. In the year prior to Ladine's arrival, the Huskies were ranked last in the Pac-12. In the four seasons since, they climbed the ranks of the Big Ten and returned to the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2017.
Ladine came through for the Huskies in a big way during their Big Ten Tournament matchup against USC, delivering a season-high 25 points to help Washington earn a 76-64 win. She also collected six rebounds and dished out four assists to help the Huskies advance to the Round of 32 with a March Madness victory against South Dakota State.
In her senior season, Ladine tallied 13 games in double-figure scoring, with 11 of 13 coming in Big Ten play. She paced Washington in scoring in five total games and rebounding in three more, helping the Huskies record their first 20-plus win season since 2016-17.
Off the court, Ladine was recognized as a Big Ten Women's Basketball Sportsmanship Honoree and a nominee for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team for her service in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco. In her hometown, she regularly volunteers with The NEOS Initiative, a non-profit school that provides free education and after-school care for youth in the Tenderloin Neighborhood.
Ladine will graduate from the University of Washington with a degree in sociology.
Following a two-game exhibition slate, Seattle officially opens the 2026 season on Friday, May 8 against the Golden State Valkyries at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Wash.
