Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion is the proud home of the University of Washington’s basketball, volleyball and gymnastics programs. This 130,000-square-foot building is an incredibly diverse space that allows for all different types of events outside of just home games.
“Hec Ed”, as it is often referred to, also includes indoor training facilities for golf and gymnastics as well as the Founders Club which is a VIP area that can host meetings and dinners. Hec Ed has gained recognition for its ability to host premier events, which is evident through recent events. In 2025, Hec Ed hosted one of the NCAA Gymnastics Regional Tournaments, putting it on the national stage. A sold-out crowd packed the gym for a 2024 UW volleyball match between the Huskies and the 2nd ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers.
