2025 Outdoor Track: First outdoor race of the season did not come until May 2, a 5k at the OSU High Performance Meet in 16:55.75 β¦ raced the 10k at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, placing 13th in 34:39.67 β¦ set a 5,000m PR at the Portland Track Festival on June 15, going 16:35.61 β¦ a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar recipient, and named Spring Academic All-Big Ten β¦ named to the National Collegiate Honor Society.
2025 Indoor Track: Opened the track season with a big 3,000m PR, going 9:21.64 at the UW Preview β¦ cut a huge 10 seconds off her mile PR at the UW Invitational, running 4:40.80.
2024 Cross Country: Ran at the first three races of the fall season β¦ raced at the Big Ten Championships, finishing 115th in a time of 21:08 as the 10th finisher on the squad β¦ was 21st in the B race at Pre-Nationals in 21:33 β¦ opened the year placing 44th in the open race at the Wisconsin Invitational β¦ named to the Fall Academic All-Big Ten Team.
2024 Track: Set several PRs and ran at the Pac-12 Championships in her first full season β¦ finished 27th overall in the 5k at Pac-12s in Boulder ... was 33rd in the 5k at the Penn Relays, running 16:45.36 β¦ indoors, set a PR in the 5k of 16:38.22 at the Husky Classic β¦ ran a mile PR of 4:52.49 at the UW Invitational β¦ opened the season with a 3,000-meters PR of 9:28.28 at the UW Preview β¦ named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Cross Country: Did not compete during the fall seasonΒ β¦ work in the classroom earned a spot on the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2022-23: Redshirted her first year both on the track and in cross country.
High School and Personal: Born in Maywood, Illinois β¦ parents are Tracy and John Welin β¦ has one younger sister, Samantha β¦ received the Scholarship Cup for class valedictorian, the Harvard Book Prize, and was in Cum Laude Society β¦ the Illinois 3A state cross country champion in 2021 β¦ the 2021 state 3,200-meters champion on the track β¦ also silver at state in 2021 in the 1,600-meters β¦ third at state in 2022 at 1,600-meters β¦ ranked sixth nationally in 2021 in the 3,200m with a PR of 10:03.72 β¦ was fifth in the mile (4:50.79) and fourth in the 2-mile (10:17.67) at the 2021 adidas Indoor Nationals.
