2025 Canadian 800m Bronze Medalist
A Canadian national bronze medalist, in her first season as a Husky in 2025-26 … pursuing postbaccalaureate studies at UW after earning a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences majoring in Cellular, Physiological and Pharmacological Sciences from the U. of Saskatchewan in 2025.
2025 Cross Country: Ran in the top-seven in the fall at four meets including all three championship races, helping the Huskies earn a 19th-place team finish at NCAAs … at her first NCAA Championships, was 207th overall, sixth on the team, in 20:41 … scored for the team at NCAA West Regionals, placing 40th overall and fourth on the team in 20:42 … at the Big Ten Championships, placed 53rd overall and sixth on the squad in 21:06 as UW placed fourth … the seventh UW finisher at the Wisconsin Invitational, in 201st overall … started but did not finish the Loyola Lakefront Invite.
2023-25 At University Of Saskatchewan: A breakout 2025 on the track, taking third in the 800-meters at the Canadian National Championships with a PR time of 2:02.46, and also finishing sixth in the 1,500-meter final … in August of 2025, ran a big 1,500m PR of 4:11.65 at the Montreal Classic … victorious at the 2025 Canada Summer Games for Team Alberta, winning the 800m in 2:07.67 and the 1,500m in 4:18.63 … won her heat of the Jerome Classic in July of 2025 in a then-PR of 2:04.94 … won the 800m and 1,500m at the 2025 Alberta Outdoor Championships … champion of the 2025 U Sports Champion at 1,000-meters indoors in 2:47.60 … a U Sports Academic All-Canadian.
2021-23 At Red Deer Polytechnic: The 2023 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, winning three individual conference titles (300m, 600m, 1,000m) … RDP Athlete of the Year in 2022-23 … competed in soccer as well as cross country … in the fall of 2022, competed in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer National Championship and the Cross Country National Championship in the same week, scoring a goal in soccer and taking fourth in cross country.
High School and Personal: Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada … parents are Joan and Rob Swartz … has one older sister, Kaitlin, one older brother, Nathan, and one younger brother, Jaeden … father and sister both competed in track at University of Alberta, and both brothers competed in soccer, track and cross country at Red Deer Polytechnic … the Lacombe Composite High School Athlete of the Year in 2018-19, and the cross country and track & field MVP in 2019 … took second in the ASAA Track Provincial Championships in 2019 in both the 400m and 800m … in the ASAA Cross Country Provincials, was seventh in 2018 and sixth in 2019 … competed for the Edmonton Columbians Track Club … also competed in basketball, badminton, and tennis and was the LCHS senior basketball most improved in 2019 and the JV basketball MVP in 2018.
