2024 All-America First Team (Pole Vault Outdoors and Indoors)
2024 Ivy League Pole Vault Champion
Two-time First Team All-American and Ivy League Champion in the pole vault joined the Huskies for his senior season in the fall of 2025 … pursuing a Masters in Information Management at UW … the second Penn All-American vaulter in as many years to join the Huskies, following Scott Toney.
2026 Indoors: In his first season as a Husky, broke the Husky School Record with the highest clearance indoors or out, going 19-1 to win the UW Preview, also setting the Big Ten Record and Dempsey record, breaking the facility mark held by UW coach, Toby Stevenson, that had stood 22 years ... named Big Ten Men's Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 21 and on Dec. 17.
2025 At Penn: Redshirted the season … competing unattached, a season-best clearance of 18-4 1/2 at the Pole Vault Championships in Washington D.C.
2024 Outdoors At Penn: A First Team All-American with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, clearing 18-1 1/4 in Eugene … qualified for NCAAs with an eighth-place finish at NCAA East Prelims, clearing 17-5 1/2 … the Ivy League Champion, making 17-11 … after NCAAs, competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials, clearing 17-8 1/2 to tie for 22nd in qualifying … second at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, at 17-3 … flew to a then-PR of 18-5 1/4 at the Mt. SAC Relays, taking fourth … made 18-0 1/2 at the Pepsi Florida Relays for second … USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

2023 Outdoors At Penn: Won the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships with a 17-1 3/4 clearance … took third at the Ivy League Championships, going 17-5 1/2 … at NCAA East Prelims, cleared 16-6 3/4 for 24th overall … season-best make of 17-7 at the Transatlantic Series on Apr. 15, finishing third … USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2023 Indoors At Penn: Took third at the Ivy League Indoor Championships, clearing 16-11 1/2 … cleared 17-1 3/4 at the Darius Dixon Memorial for fourth … won the Penn Select 10 with a 17-0 3/4 make.
2022 Outdoors At Penn: Third at the Ivy League Outdoors with a season-best of 17-5 1/2 … qualified for NCAA East Prelims but did not clear a bar … won the Princeton Elite Invite, going 17-4 1/2 … second at the Virginia Challenge, making 17-5 … won the Penn Challenge with a make of 17-4 1/2.
2022 Indoors At Penn: At his first Ivy League Indoor meet, was seventh at 15-9 … won the Villanova Invite at 16-6 3/4 … won his collegiate debut, clearing 16-10 3/4 at the Seahawk Shootout on Dec. 10, 2021.
High School and Personal: Born in Pleasantville, Ohio … parents are Tanna and Charles Rhoads … has one twin brother, Josh … at Liberty Union High School, ran both hurdles events, long jumped, as well as pole vaulted .. as a senior in 2021, was second at the Ohio state meet in the pole vault at 14-10, after a season-best of 16-0, and qualified for state in the long jump after a season-best of 21-8 1/2 … third at the 2020 indoor state championship in the pole vault, making 15-9 … as a sophomore in 2019, was second at state in the pole vault at 15-2 and was 11th at New Balance Indoor Nationals … made state in the pole vault as just a freshman, finishing eighth.
