2020: Did not get to compete in her final outdoor season as the year was canceled due to COVID-19.
2019: Redshirted the season, competing twice unattached in the javelin … threw 142-1 at the Vernacchia Open at Western Washington for eighth … fifth in the javelin at the Ken Shannon Invite going 140-4.
2018: Had the best javelin mark on the team in her first season competing for UW … threw a best of 147-11 at the Stanford Invitational to take fourth in the collegiate section … third in the javelin at the UW-WSU Dual to score a point, throwing 144-2 … was 17th in her first Pac-12 Championships with a best of 133-10 … sixth at the Ken Shannon Invite with a throw of 141-9 … finished sixth at the Pepsi Team Invite throwing 133-11.
2017: Competed three times in the javelin … best mark was her season-opener where she threw 124-2 at the Doris Heritage Festival in West Seattle … was seventh at the UW-WSU Dual at 119-0 … threw 118-6 at the Ken Shannon Invitational.
2016 (At College of the Siskiyous): Threw all four implements in her one season in junior college, setting a javelin career-best of 144-1 at the Yuba College Invite ... finished third at the California State Junior College Championships with a javelin throw of 134-11 and earned All-America honors.
High School and Personal: Born in Eatonville, Wash. ... parents are Stephanie and Daniel Newman ... one of five children along with brothers Bryndle and Brodey, and sisters Sidney and Lalley ... threw the shot, discus, and javelin all four years of high school, reaching the Washington 1A state meet in all three as a senior and as a sophomore ... as a senior, was state runner-up in the shot put at 39-0 1/4 and in the javelin at 136-6 and was fifth in the discus with a throw of 123-5 ... won six individual Nisqually League titles ... also lettered two years in volleyball ... was the Tacoma Athletic Commission Athlete of the Year from 2012-2015.
