High School and Personal: Born in Everett, Washington β¦ parents are Cherlyn and Kay Schander β¦ has one older brother, Paul β¦ mother played softball in college at Pacific University β¦ missed out on senior track season due to Covid pandemic β¦ as a junior in 2019, took fifth at the 3A state championships in the discus β¦ improved her discus PR by more than 30 feet between sophomore and junior seasons β¦ played multiple sports in high school, playing volleyball, basketball, and wrestling for two years β¦ took third at state in wrestling and was team captain β¦ recipient of WIAA Distinguished Scholastic Award β¦ a member of Future Farmers of America.
