Cal: Daniels played two seasons at the University of California before announcing her transfer to the University of Washington. She was a consistent post-presence for the Bears and established a reputation for herself as a versatile and driven player.
During her sophomore season, Daniels made 12 starts and logged 446 minutes, averaging 21.2 minutes per contest. She finished the year averaging 7.9 points per game and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 42.8 percent from the field (65-for-152). She scored in double figures eight times, including a season-high 21 points on February 21st.
As a freshman, Daniels put the Pac-12 on notice, taking home All-Freshmen Team honors. She started in all 17 games for the Bears and played nearly 36 minutes per game—ranking fourth in the Pac-12. Daniels also led Cal in scoring with 202 points and had 10 double-figure games (including three 20-point performances). She finished the year with four double-doubles, which led all freshmen in the Pac-12. During the season, the Washington native scored 24 points against Arizona, 24 against San Francisco, 20 against Arizona State, and 12 against UCLA.
High School: Daniels ended her high school career as one of the most decorated players in Washington. The Garfield High School graduate dominated from freshman to senior year and achieved national recognition for her performance. She was named a 2020 McDonald’s All-American and ranked as the number 2 post player in the nation (number 13 overall prospect) by ESPN100.
As a senior, Daniels averaged 21 points per game, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 blocks. Her all-around performance propelled Garfield to a WIAA 3A State championship, the program’s first in over 5 years. She also was named the Metro League MVP and First-Team All-State for the second consecutive year. The year prior, she led the Bulldogs to a Metro League Championship after averaging over 22 points per game.
