GETTING TO KNOW NICK KRESNAK
WHY NICK LOVES BASEBALL: I love baseball because it has taught me how to be a team player and helped me grow up into the person I am today.
WHY WASHINGTON: I chose Washington because ever since I was a little kid I was a Husky fan. Plus, the coaching staff and facilities are top notch. When I was given the opportunity to come and play at UW it was a no-brainer for me. Also, Seattle is one of my favorite cities that I have ever been to.
Coach Meggs on Kresnak: We were drawn to Nick immediately because of his ability to hit for average, drive in runs and play third base. However, as Nick’s high school career has evolved, he has also proven to be an impact guy on the mound. Nick’s earned run average was 1.09 last year, so now we’re talking about a potential two-way guy. With all that being said, Nick’s greatest quality is that he’s simply a winner. At the end of the day, Nick is going to find a way to beat you.
