GETTING TO KNOW KARL KOERPER
ย
Pregame superstitions:
I like to get to the field really early and have time to go through my hitting routine. As far as superstitions go, I always have to clean my cleats before every game.
ย
First baseball memory?
Playing โstick ballโ in the backyard with my brothers. We would duct tape a wiffle ball and use that.
ย
Greatest baseball memory?
Getting the opportunity to win state my junior year of High School.
ย
Why do you love baseball?
I was raised in a baseball family so I spent most of my childhood playing baseball. My love for baseball developed because of the example of my older brothers. I have always looked towards them as key role models in my life.
Favorite Player?
David Ortiz, heโs a big power lefty and I have always loved his swing.
ย
Interesting facts about Karl:
I can throw both righty and lefty ... I was born on Christmas โฆ I sleep walk all the time.
ย
Why Washington?
I chose Washington because of the opportunity I would have to play for a great program with a lot of history. For me, I have never worried about where I was going to play. All Iโve wanted is to just get the opportunity to go out and play baseball.ย It has always been a dream of mine to play baseball in the Pac-12, and to be able to play baseball for the University of Washington is an extremely humbling opportunity.
