Washington Set for Regular Season Finale at No. 17 UCLA

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Washington women's basketball concludes the regular season on the road in Los Angeles at No. 17 UCLA. This is the second meeting of the season between the programs, and UCLA will be the eighth ranked team UW has faced this year. The game tips off Saturday, Feb. 25 at 12:00 p.m. PT and will be aired on Pac-12 Los Angeles with Anne Marie Anderson and Maylana Martin Douglas on the call. Gary Hill will call the action on 1090 KPTR-AM.

UW held UCLA to a 32.3% field goal percentage, their lowest in conference play (37.9%) and the season as a whole (40.5%). UCLA's 51 points was the lowest they had scored all season. Jayda Noble led the Huskies in scoring with 9 points. Trinity Oliver recorded a new career high in rebounding with 11. UW out-rebounded UCLA 46-37.

THE TEAM

Washington returns eight Huskies from last season with Lauren Schwartz, Jayda Noble, Haley Van Dyke, Nia Lowery, TT Watkins, Trinity Oliver, Lexi Griggsby, and Darcy Rees. Fans will see six new faces on the team this season, as the Huskies welcomed four freshmen from California - Hannah Stines, Teagan Brown, Shayla Gillmer, and Elle Ladine - and two transfers, Dalayah Daniels (Cal) and Emma Grothaus (Lehigh).

2023 Signing Class
Washington women's basketball welcomed four new Huskies on National Signing Day (11.09.22) with ESPN.com's 14th-ranked recruiting class. This is the second class in a row ranked in the Top 15 that Coach Langley and staff have signed. The Huskies added four standouts to the program with Olivia Anderson, Chloe Briggs, Ari Long, and Sayvia Sellers.

On November 15, the Atlanta Tipoff Club named Long and Sellers to the 2023 Jersey Mike's Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List. Long and Sellers are two of the 50 girls named to the watch list. On January 11, Sellers was one of 25 named to the Naismith High School Midseason Team. On January 11, Briggs, Long, and Sellers were named 2023 McDonald's All American Games Nominees.

PRESEASON NODS

Van Dyke earned Preseason All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition, and Grothaus was one of 20 players named to the 2023 Lisa Lisa Award Watch List.
