
Washington Finishes Mountain Road Trip at No. 25 Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. -- Washington women's basketball (13-10, 5-8) completes its Mountain schools road trip at No. 25 Colorado (19-5, 10-3) for the second meeting of the season between the programs. Colorado is the seventh ranked opponent the Huskies have taken on this season. The game tips off Sunday, Feb. 12 at 11:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. MT and will be aired on Pac-12 Washington with Thad Anderson and Maylana Martin Douglas on the call. Gary Hill will call the action on 1090 KPTR-AM.

Ladine tied her career high assists with five. Haley Van Dyke also had her third game in a row in double digits, putting up 10. Darcy Rees was the third Husky in double digits (10 points), doing so for the first time in conference play this season. Rees tied her season high rebounding with five. Lauren Schwartz tied her season high assists with five. Dalayah Daniels recorded two steals and three blocks, surpassing 75 career blocks to bring her current total to 77.

Washington returns eight Huskies from last season with Lauren Schwartz, Jayda Noble, Haley Van Dyke, Nia Lowery, TT Watkins, Trinity Oliver, Lexi Griggsby, and Darcy Rees. Fans will see six new faces on the team this season, as the Huskies welcomed four freshmen from California - Hannah Stines, Teagan Brown, Shayla Gillmer, and Elle Ladine - and two transfers, Dalayah Daniels (Cal) and Emma Grothaus (Lehigh).
2023 Signing Class
Washington women's basketball welcomed four new Huskies on National Signing Day (11.09.22) with ESPN.com's 14th-ranked recruiting class. This is the second class in a row ranked in the Top 15 that Coach Langley and staff have signed. The Huskies added four standouts to the program with Olivia Anderson, Chloe Briggs, Ari Long, and Sayvia Sellers.
On November 15, the Atlanta Tipoff Club named Long and Sellers to the 2023 Jersey Mike's Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List. Long and Sellers are two of the 50 girls named to the watch list. On January 11, Sellers was one of 25 named to the Naismith High School Midseason Team. On January 11, Briggs, Long, and Sellers were named 2023 McDonald's All American Games Nominees.

Van Dyke earned Preseason All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition, and Grothaus was one of 20 players named to the 2023 Lisa Lisa Award Watch List.

Lauren Schwartz was the other Husky in double digits with 12. Washington out-rebounded Colorado 32-26. The Huskies shot 42%, which was above what the Colorado defense had been allowing opponents.
