2025 Outdoor Track: First outdoor race of the season did not come until May 2, a 5k at the OSU High Performance Meet in 16:55.75 âĶ raced the 10k at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, placing 13th in 34:39.67 âĶ set a 5,000m PR at the Portland Track Festival on June 15, going 16:35.61 âĶ a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar recipient, and named Spring Academic All-Big Ten âĶ named to the National Collegiate Honor Society.
2025 Indoor Track: Opened the track season with a big 3,000m PR, going 9:21.64 at the UW Preview âĶ cut a huge 10 seconds off her mile PR at the UW Invitational, running 4:40.80.
2024 Cross Country: Ran at the first three races of the fall season âĶ raced at the Big Ten Championships, finishing 115th in a time of 21:08 as the 10th finisher on the squad âĶ was 21st in the B race at Pre-Nationals in 21:33 âĶ opened the year placing 44th in the open race at the Wisconsin Invitational âĶ named to the Fall Academic All-Big Ten Team.
2024 Track: Set several PRs and ran at the Pac-12 Championships in her first full season âĶ finished 27th overall in the 5k at Pac-12s in Boulder ... was 33rd in the 5k at the Penn Relays, running 16:45.36 âĶ indoors, set a PR in the 5k of 16:38.22 at the Husky Classic âĶ ran a mile PR of 4:52.49 at the UW Invitational âĶ opened the season with a 3,000-meters PR of 9:28.28 at the UW Preview âĶ named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Cross Country: Did not compete during the fall season âĶ work in the classroom earned a spot on the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2022-23: Redshirted her first year both on the track and in cross country.
High School and Personal: Born in Maywood, Illinois âĶ parents are Tracy and John Welin âĶ has one younger sister, Samantha âĶ received the Scholarship Cup for class valedictorian, the Harvard Book Prize, and was in Cum Laude Society âĶ the Illinois 3A state cross country champion in 2021 âĶ the 2021 state 3,200-meters champion on the track âĶ also silver at state in 2021 in the 1,600-meters âĶ third at state in 2022 at 1,600-meters âĶ ranked sixth nationally in 2021 in the 3,200m with a PR of 10:03.72 âĶ was fifth in the mile (4:50.79) and fourth in the 2-mile (10:17.67) at the 2021 adidas Indoor Nationals.
