Moll Named National Field Athlete Of The Year
March 23, 2026 | Track & Field
SEATTLE – Junior Hana Moll was chosen as the National Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Moll won her third NCAA title in the pole vault, and her second indoors, on Mar. 14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
This is the second National Field Athlete of the Year in a row for Moll, as she also won the award for the 2025 outdoor season. And it's three in a row for the Moll twins as a duo, as Amanda Moll was the 2025 indoor season National Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
Moll won every competition she entered indoors, starting with a 16-foot clearance at the UW Invitational which made her just the second collegiate woman, along with Amanda, to make the 16-foot mark.
She won the 2026 NCAA Indoor title with a big Meet Record, breaking the old mark she shared with Amanda by more than four inches, clearing 15-9 3/4. Her 16-foot make remains the highest in the world thus far in 2026, and her 15-9 3/4 clearance is third-best.
Last week Moll was named the West Region Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, setting her up for the national honor.
The Moll twins are currently in Australia and will spend part of their spring break competing in the Maurie Plant Meet against an elite field on Mar. 28.
