2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): Shattered the School Record several times in the weight throw in her final season and also climbed the Top-10 list in the shot put … set the School Record for the third and final time at the UW Last Chance Meet where she threw 69-feet, 8.25-inches, a mark that wound up ranking 20th in the NCAA in 2020 … was the MPSF Championships runner-up in the weight at 68-9 1/4 … opened the season with her first School Record with a throw of 66-0 1/4 … broke it again at the UW Invitational, getting the win at 68-3 … third in the weight at the Don Kirby Invite at 66-8 3/4 … had an indoor shot put PR of 50-11 1/2 at the UW Last Chance Meet, going to No. 5 in school history … also was fifth in the shot put at MPSFs with a best of 50-2.
2019: Improved her personal-bests in the shot put and hammer and became a Pac-12 scorer and West Prelims qualifier for the first time … a huge PR in the shot put came at the Ken Shannon Invitational as she threw 51-10 for the best toss by a Husky since 1988 and the No. 4 mark in school history … took seventh in the shot put at Pac-12s in Tucson with a best of 49-1 1/2 and was 12th in the hammer throw at 176-6 … improved her hammer PR to 182-6 at the Beach Invitational … also was second in the hammer at the Ken Shannon Invite at 182-4 … qualified for NCAA Prelims in the shot put and finished 44th overall at 47-2 1/2 … second in the shot put at the UW-WSU Dual at 46-1 1/4 and third in the hammer at 177-2 … competed just once indoors, finishing 17th in the weight throw at the MPSF Championships.
2018: Improved her PRs in the hammer outdoors and had the No. 2 weight throw mark in school history indoors … outdoors, had a hammer throw best of 180-11 at the Trojan Invitational, moving to No. 5 in school history … finished 15th in both the hammer and shot put at the Pac-12 Championships … transitioned from glide to spin technique in the shot put, with a season-best late in the year of 47-2 ¼ at the Ken Shannon Invite, taking second … second in the hammer and the shot put at the UW-WSU Dual, throwing 170-10 in the hammer and 46-4 ¼ in the shot … threw the hammer 174-0 at the Beach Invitational and 171-9 at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate … eighth in the hammer at the Pepsi Team Invite at 151-2 and fifth in the shot put at 42-5 ½ … indoors, had a big PR of over two feet at the MPSF Championships as she scored in the weight throw, taking fifth at 63-0 ¼ … PR prior to MPSFs came at the UW Invitational where she threw the weight 60-8 ¾ … best indoor shot put mark of 43-8 ½ at the UW Indoor Open.
2017: Finished top-10 in the Pac-12 in the shot put and broke into the Husky top-10 lists in her first season and gained experience in the hammer throw … ranked second on the team in the shot put, throwing a PR of 48-10 ¼ to win the Ken Shannon Invitational and going to the No. 9 spot in UW history with that mark … at the Pac-12 Championships, placed 10th overall with a best put of 47-2 ¼ … went on to compete at the U.S. Junior Outdoor Championships in the shot put, finishing 16th with a mark of 44-6 ¼ … raised her PR by four-feet at the Beach Invitational when she threw 48-6 for 11th … won the collegiate section at the Stanford Invitational with a mark of 44-6 … second in the shot put at the UW-WSU Dual at 45-8 ½ and was fourth in the hammer at 151-3 … best hammer throw of the season was 161-9 at the OSU High Performance Meet, good for 10th on the school top-10 list … did not compete during the indoor season.
High School and Personal: Born in Portland, Oregon … parents are Adi and Francis Nkwonta … has one older brother, Kingsley, one younger brother, Kamcy, and two younger sisters, Ginika and Kosie … one of the fastest and strongest athletes in Washington, had the rare distinction of being a state champion in the shot put and 100-meter dash … won the 2A state title in the shot put as a senior in 2016 with a toss of 43-6 ¾ and set her PR earlier in the season with a throw of 45-3 … ran her 100-meters PR of 12.24 seconds during her junior season … also took first at state in the shot put as a junior in 2015 and was second in the 100m and fourth in the 200m … a nine-time Great Northern League individual track champion … competed twice at the Arcadia Invite in California, taking sixth in the shot put in 2016 with a mark of 42-7 and was 12th in the 100-meters in 2015 going 12.28 … also lettered two years in soccer … graduated with a 3.6 grade point average.
