2025 All-America Second Team (DMR, Indoors)
2025 Outdoor Track: Capped his freshman year by finishing just one spot shy of reaching the NCAA Outdoor meet, as he finished 13th at NCAA West Prelims in the 1,500-meters in a time of 3:41.28 … won his NCAA Prelims first round heat in 3:44.91 … made the Big Ten Outdoors final at 800-meters after going 1:47.94 in the prelim, and was sixth-place in the final … helped the Huskies capture the 4xMile Penn Relays Championship of America title, running the second leg and splitting a 4:07.81 … ran a 1,500-meters PR of 3:39.72 at the Bryan Clay Invitational … named USTFCCCA All-Academic.
2025 Indoor Track: Earned All-America Second Team honors as part of the Husky DMR that raced at NCAA Indoors in Virginia Beach … ran the 800m leg on the DMR at nationals, as the team finished 11th in 9:31.11 … set a new Husky Freshman Record in both the mile and the 800-meters … he joined the sub-four mile club for the first time at the UW Invitational, running 3:57.26 for the freshman record … clocked 1:47.30 for the 800m at the Husky Classic to take that freshman record, and go to No. 6 in school history … made the Big Ten Indoors final in the mile, where he finished ninth, after he went sub-four in the prelims in 3:59.91 … went to No. 7 in school history in the 1,000-meters with a time of 2:21.77 at the UW Preview … collegiate debut at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Opener on Dec. 7, running the mile in 4:05.46.
2024 Cross Country: Redshirted the season
High School and Personal: Born in Chapel Hill, Indiana … parents are Amy and Martin Barco … the Gatorade Player of the Year for Men’s Track in Indiana in 2023-24 … was third at the 2024 USATF U20 Championships in the 1,500-meters, running 3:47.73 … swept the Indiana state titles at 800-meters (1:50.97) and 1600-meters (4:06.34) as a senior … also took the 1600m state title as a junior … won the 2024 Trials of Miles meet in 4:02.94 … took second at the 2024 New Balance Indoor Nationals in the mile in 4:05.62 … as a junior in 2023, was fifth in the mile at New Balance Outdoor Nationals … also lettered in soccer … member of Student Athlete Leadership Team.
