2024: Competed in the long and triple jumps, with some sprinting mixed in โฆ outdoors, had a season-best long jump of 18-3 ยผ into a headwind, at the Brutus Hamilton Invite โฆ at the Fresno State Invite, ran the 100m hurdles in 15.46 and the 200-meters in 26.14 โฆ indoors, had a triple jump PR of 37-11 ยฝ at the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet โฆ indoor long jump best of 18-1 ยฝ at the UW Invitational.
High School and Personal: Born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin โฆ parents are Kerrie and Jarrod Washburn โฆ Kerrie was a track & field standout for University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the long and triple jumps from 1994-97 and in 2023 she was inducted into the UW-Oshkosh Athletics Hall of Fame โฆ Jarrod Washburn had a 12-year Major League Baseball career for the Anaheim Angels, Seattle Mariners, at Detroit Tigers, winning 107 games as a starting pitcher and helping the Angels win the 2002 World Series when he won 18 games โฆ has two older brothers, Jack and Owen, who both play collegiate baseball at Texas Tech โฆ won five individual Wisconsin state titles at the D3 level winning the long jump and the 300m hurdles as a senior in 2023, and winning the 100m hurdles, long jump, and triple jump as a junior in 2022 while taking second in the 300m hurdles โฆ also a standout volleyball player, earning West-Lakeland All-Conference First Team in 2021 and 2022, and was a three-time All-State honorable mention โฆ was president of the student council, president of the business club, member of yearbook club and Spanish club, and National Honor Society V.P. โฆ named to Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association All-Academic Team.
