November 14, 2024 | Women's Basketball
SEATTLE – The Washington women's basketball team (4-0, 0-0 Big Ten) finished out the homestand with its fourth straight win Thursday night, using a second half push to defeat Eastern Washington (1-2, 0-0 Big Sky), 83-59.
The Huskies are now 25-1 all-time against the Eagles, who drop to 1-2 on the season.
10 Huskies scored Thursday night with three reaching double digits – Sayvia Sellers, Elle Ladine, and Dalayah Daniels.
Sellers led the Dawgs offensively with a career-high 21 points – her second career 20+ point performance – while connecting on 7-of-13 field goals and going a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. She also added a team-high five assists and four steals.
Ladine recorded her fourth straight double-digit game of the season, delivering a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double for the third of her career. She also dished out four assists and two steals.
The junior followed up her three-point career-high night on Sunday with three triples tonight as the Huskies saw 10 threes fall – the third time this season they've drained 10+.
Daniels added 11 points (5-for-9) – including the first bucket of the game that came on a left corner three – her third time this season in double-digits. She also pulled down five boards and dished out two assists.
Hannah Stines finished with nine points, two rebounds, a steal, and an assist.
The Huskies forced 13 Eastern Washington turnovers while committing just 11 of their own, the lowest turnover count for Washington since Feb. 25 of last season in a win against Oregon State.
The Dawgs hit the road for the first time this season on Sunday at Montana. The game will be available on ESPN+ at 1 p.m. PT.
