Teagan Brown enters her fourth season with Washington.
2024-25 (JUNIOR)
Brown got off to a fast start, contributing a career-high 14 points in a season-opening win against Seattle U (11/4). She was a critical contributor against Illinois (12/31), knocking down two 3-pointers and recording 10 points to close out Washington’s first conference road trip with a win. Brown finished with five or more points in six other contests. In 28 minutes against Michigan (3/6) in the Big Ten Tournament, Brown collected five rebounds. Appearing in 32 out of 33 games, she finished the season averaging 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds. In her junior campaign, Brown improved her overall shooting percentage by five percent (47%, 39-83).
2023-24 (SOPHOMORE)
Brown contributed a season-high nine points against NC Central (11/9) and San Francisco (12/2). Against Saint Mary’s (12/16), she matched her career-high with eight rebounds. Brown was selected as a member of the 2024 Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll. Appearing in 27 games, Brown averaged 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds. She finished her sophomore season shooting 41.7% from the floor (20-48) and 34.6% from behind the arc (9-26).
2022-23 (FRESHMAN)
She made her Washington debut against UC Davis (11/11) and collected a career-high eight rebounds against Seattle U (11/30) later that month. Brown recorded a season-high eight points against Queens (12/4) and SIUE (12/20) her freshman season. She was a critical contributor on the defensive end of the floor against No. 11 Utah (1/1), registering three steals. Appearing in 25 games, Brown averaged 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds.
HIGH SCHOOL
Brown arrived at Washington after a historic career at Oak Ridge High School. During her tenure, she was named the school’s Athlete of the Year for four straight years and took home The Sacramento Bee’s Player of the Year honor. In 2021, the team captain was ranked the 24th-best guard in California and 78th in the ESPNW rankings.
As a freshman, Brown made an immediate impact on the floor, leading her team in points per game (16.0), rebounds (8.4), field goal percentage (46%), and steals (2.5). That year, the Trojans finished third in their league, and Brown was named to the Cal-Hi Sports All-Freshman Team. The momentum carried over to her sophomore season, as Brown improved in every statistical category. Oak Ridge won its conference that year and made a run in the CIF Division I playoffs. In her junior and senior seasons, Brown not only averaged over 20 points per game but was a three-time MVP of the Sierra Foothills League, two-time First Team All-Sacramento Metro, and was named First Team All-CIF (Open Division) and Sacramento Bee’s All-Metro Player.
Outside of Oak Ridge, Brown competed for Jason Kidd Select in San Francisco, California, and averaged 20.4 points, 2.5 assists, 10 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game.
PERSONAL
Teagan is the daughter of two collegiate athletes, Jill and Benjamin Brown. Jill played basketball at Northwestern of Iowa for two years, while her father played football and basketball at the University of Northern Iowa and then Northwestern of Iowa. She has one older brother. Brown is majoring in Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health.
