2025 Indoors: Competed at three meets, including at the Big Ten Indoor meet, where she was 22nd in the 600-meters and 11th on the 4x400m relay β¦ went to No. 9 in school history with 600m PR of 1:34.02 at Big Tens β¦ ran on seasonβs-best 4x4 relay that ran an altitude-converted time of 3:39.39 at the Don Kirby Elite Invite, third-fastest in school history.
2024: The top hurdler for the Huskies in her freshman season, qualifying for NCAA West Prelims and reaching the USATF U20 Championships finals β¦ clocked a 400m hurdles PR at the Pac-12 Championships, placing ninth overall in an altitude-converted 58.53 and ran on the 4x400m relay which was 10th in 3:39.52, the No. 8 time in school history β¦ was 36th overall at first NCAA West Prelims β¦ advanced to the finals of the USATF U20 Championships, finishing fifth in a time of 59.47 β¦ broke 60-seconds in the 400m hurdles for the first time at the Mt. SAC Relays, going 59.43 β¦ top 100m hurdles time of 14.22 at the Brutus Hamilton Invite β¦ indoors, raced the 60m, 200m, and 400m, as well as relays β¦ 60m best of 7.99 at the UW Invite β¦ top 200m time of 25.48 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Classic β¦ best 400m time of 56.37 at the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet β¦ ran on the winning 4x4 relay at the Husky Classic, which went 3:43.77 for the No. 6 time in school history.
High School and Personal: Born in Scottsdale, Arizona β¦ parents are Denise and Vince Coleman β¦ has one younger brother, Koa β¦ Vince Coleman was a standout Major League Baseball player from 1985-97, winning National League Rookie of the Year in 1985 and making the 1988 and 1989 All Star Teams; one of the best base stealers in MLB history, he ranks sixth in history with 752 steals and he remains the last player to steal 100 bases in a season, which he did three times from 85-87 β¦ Vince Coleman played one season with the Seattle Mariners in 1995, during Seattleβs first ever playoff run β¦ Kapiolani was the California State Champion in the 300m hurdles in 2022, clocking 42.23, and was third in the 100m hurdles final in 14.14 β¦ set a 300m hurdles PR of 42.19 at the 2022 Arcadia Invite, finishing second β¦ swept the Western League titles as a senior in 2023 in the 100m, 100m hurdles, and 300m hurdles, and ran on winning 4x400m relay β¦ won schoolβs Career Athletic Achievement Award in 2022-23 β¦ also a standout volleyball letterwinner β¦ three-time Most Valuable Athlete in track β¦ an honor roll member and scholar-athlete award winner.
