2024 Pac-12 Pole Vault Bronze Medalist
Completed his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Harvard.
2024: Raised his PR in his first year as a Husky and took third in the pole vault at the Pac-12 Championships … at Pac-12s, cleared 17-2 ¼ for bronze and six team points, helping UW successfully defend its team title … qualified for NCAA West Prelims, placing 33rd overall with a make of 16-7 ½ … made 17-0 at the Fresno State Invite for third … indoors, set a new PR of 17-7 ¼ at the Husky Classic … another big make of 17-5 ½ at the UW Invitational … earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team distinction.
2023 (At Harvard): Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Championships for a second time, placing 32nd overall with a make of 16-6 ¾ … fourth at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships, clearing 17-1 ½ … made 16-10 at the Pepsi Florida Relays for third … indoors, had a season-best of 16-10 ¾ to take third at the BU Battle In Beantown.
2022 (At Harvard): Advanced to NCAA East Prelims in the pole vault, placing 24th at the meet with a make of 16-6 ½ … won the Hurricane Invitational with a PR clearance of 17-5 … 10th at Ivy League Outdoors … won the Houston Spring Break Open going 17-1 … indoors, was third at the Crimson Elite meet going 16-6 ¾ … won the Lions Indoor Invite clearing 16-4 ¾.
2020-21 (At Harvard): No Ivy League seasons due to pandemic.
High School and Personal: Born in Ulsan, South Korea … parents are Yun Kyoung Lee and Kyu Yeol Park … has two older brothers, Calvin Won Park and Sean Heon Park … Calvin competed in track for Duke, running sprints and hurdles, graduating in 2018 … the Oregon 6A State Champion in the pole vault as a senior in 2019, making 16-6 at the state meet … the team MVP and captain as a senior … cleared a best of 16-9 at the 2019 Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays … ninth at the 2018 New Balance Outdoor Nationals, making 16-1 ¼ … State Champion for the first time as a sophomore in 2017, clearing 16-2 for the win.
