2024 (Track): Competed just indoors in her final season, breaking her own School Record once again at 800-meters and anchoring the Huskies to the DMR NCAA Record … set the new 800m School Record along with the Dempsey Facility Record at the UW Invitational, running 2:00.95 … fourth at the New Balance Grand Prix 800m in 2:01.96 … at the Terrier DMR Challenge, anchored the Huskies to an NCAA Record win in 10:43.39, lowering UW’s own collegiate record set one year earlier … opened the season with a big mile PR of 4:30.38, the No. 3 mark in school history … placed 13th at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston in her final race as a Husky to earn Second Team All-America.
2022-23 (Track): Reached the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 800-meters for the second straight year, finishing 11th overall at nationals in Austin in 2:02.02, which lowered her own School Record and earned All-America Second Team ... after the NCAA season, next race was in July in Lignano, Italy, where she broke two-minutes for the first time ever, winning the meet in 1:59.95 to break the School Record again by over two seconds ... another summer time of 2:01.60 at a BMC Regional race in London ... at NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento, won the first round and then took second in the quarterfinal … took runner-up at the Pac-12 Championships, re-breaking her outdoor School Record in the final in 2:02.40 … ran on a pair of top-three-finishing relays at the Penn Relays, as UW took third in the 4x1500-meters (4:20 split) and second in the 4x800-meters (2:05.72 split) … opened the outdoor season with a 1,500m PR of 4:17.50 at the Stanford Invitational … indoors, earned All-America Second Team honors in both the 800-meters and on the DMR … was ninth in the 800-meter semis at NCAA Indoors, just missing the final by one spot, running 2:03.37 … was the 800-meter leg of the Collegiate Record-setting distance medley relay at the BU Scarlet & White Invite, as the Huskies ran 10:46.62 to break Oregon’s 2017 record and shatter the School Record by nine seconds, splitting a 2:01.9 … the day after the DMR record, lowered the 800-meters School Record to 2:02.15 … also set a School Record in the 600-meters in 1:28.78 … opened up the indoor season with a mile PR at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Opener, running 4:36.24 ... a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team recipient and Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll ... (Cross Country): Competed twice in the fall for the Dawgs, starting with the Wisconsin Invitational where she was 170th overall and sixth on the team in 21:20 … ran at the Pac-12 Championships, placing 65th and 10th on the squad in 20:59.
2021-22 (Track): Became the first Pac-12 800-meter Champion in Washington history on the women’s side, as she showed how far she’d come since the broken leg by setting the outdoor school record to win the Pac-12 final going away in 2:02.93 … advanced to the NCAA Outdoor semifinals, placing 11th in the semis in a time of 2:03.44 to earn All-America Second Team honors … advanced out of the NCAA West Prelims quarterfinal with a time of 2:03.18 … won the Fresno State invitational 800m in 2:04.49 … returned to Australia in March for the Australian Outdoor Championships, placing sixth in the 800m final in 2:06.94 … indoors, ran the 800m leg on the Husky DMR that earned All-America Second Team honors … the DMR finished 11th at NCAA Indoors after suffering a fall on the opening leg … helped the DMR qualify for nationals by running the 400m leg when the squad ran 10:57.69 at the JDL DMR Invite, third-fastest in school history … indoors, ran a season-best 800m time of 2:05.40 at the UW Invitational for the win … stepped up to the mile to start the year and ran 4:46.18 at the UW Indoor Preview … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team … a Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll member ... (Cross Country): Raced her first cross country meet at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite, placing 68th overall in the B race.
2021: Made an incredible recovery from a 2020 summer accident that saw her fracture her leg and necessitated surgery and months without running or walking unassisted, yet she was back competing by April of 2021 … first race back was the West Coast Relays on April 30 where she ran the 800-meters in 2:07.46 … made the Pac-12 Championships final with just the one meet under her belt, running a season-best of 2:05.57 in the 800m prelims and then taking seventh in the final in 2:07.65 … raced at NCAA West Prelims and finished 26th overall in 2:07.21 … made the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): One of the top freshmen in the NCAA during the indoor campaign, earning two All-America honors in the 800-meters and on the distance medley relay and smashing the School Record in the 800m … named the National Women’s Freshman of the Year by Stride Report after ranking No. 2 in the NCAA in the 800m … broke the UW indoor 800-meter record by over two seconds in her collegiate track debut, running 2:03.06 at the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge at the Armory in New York, finishing third behind two U.S. professionals … lowered her School Record at the BU Last Chance Qualifier with a run of 2:02.75 … ran the 800-meter leg on the DMR that ran the No. 2 time in school history at the UW Invitational with a time of 10:56.23 … qualified for NCAA Indoors in the 800m and DMR but did not get to compete as the meet was canceled due to COVID-19 … earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
2019 Fall: Chosen to represent Australia at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships held in Doha, Qatar ... ran a time of 2:04.65 in the 800-meter first round.
High School and Personal: Born in Sydney, Australia … parents are Christina and Bruce Thomas … has one older sister, Megg, and one younger brother, Ben … both parents are former Australian Ironman Triathlon Champions … one of the world’s top junior 800-meter runners as evidenced by her silver medal at the 2018 World Junior Championships in Finland … at the 2018 World Junior Championships, she took second in the 800m final in a then-PR of 2:01.13, and also added another silver medal on the 4x400m relay team which she anchored with a 51.4-second split … competed at the 2019 London Diamond League meet, and dropped her 800-meters PR to 2:01.01 in an eighth-place finish … got her first victory in the 2019 European circuit, winning the 800m in 2:02.85 in Nijmegan, Netherlands … ranked fifth in the world in 2019 in the U20 age group and first outside of Africa … placed fourth in the 2019 Australian Track Championships at the senior level in the 800-meters, going 2:02.74 in the final … the 2019 New South Wales state champion at 800-meters … the 2018 Australian U20 Champion at 800-meters … was the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games gold medalist in the 800-meters and the mixed 4x400m … also played three years of water polo, two years of basketball, and was a state qualifier in swimming … the 2018 Vice Captain of her high school.
