February 19, 2026 | Women's Basketball
LOS ANGELES — The Washington women's basketball team fell on the road at No. 2 UCLA, 82-67 on Thursday at Pauley Pavilion.
The Huskies shared the ball well against the Bruins, tallying 17 assists on 25 made shots. UW also limited UCLA's effectiveness from behind the arc, with the home side knocking down just four 3-pointers — its third-fewest of the year.
In the last three games, opponents have only made a combined 11 3-point shots against the Huskies.
Washington also forced a number of UCLA turnovers, with the Huskies recording eight steals. Yulia Grabovskaia tallied three of those, while Sayvia Sellers and Avery Howell each notched two.
Three different Huskies finished the night in double-figures, with freshman Brynn McGaughy leading the way with 19 points. That marks a new high in Big Ten play for McGaughy, and she also set a new career-best in 3-pointers made — knocking down three from behind the arc.
Sellers and Howell each found success from deep, as well, recording a combined seven shots. Sellers continued her streak of finishing in double figures with 14 points, while Howell recorded nine points in the fourth quarter to finish with 17 points.
Sellers distributed the ball well, notching seven assists. Howell continued to be effective on the glass — adding another seven boards.
Up next, Washington returns home for a Senior Day celebration against Nebraska on Sunday, February 22 at 12:00 p.m. PST. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game for a postgame ceremony to honor UW's five seniors.
