With 5:17 left to go in the game, Washington's Loree Payne tallied her 1000th career point. She finished the game with 15 points on five of 11 shooting, bringing her career total to 1,001.
Washington's three freshmen, Kayla Burt, Kristen O'Neill and Sarah Keeler combined for 43 points in tonight's game, with each at least equaling their previous career highs. Burt's 18 points shattered her previous high of five, while O'Neill scored 13 to equal her season high (at Oregon, 12/28). Keeler scored 12 points, bettering her career high of 10.
The Huskies' 33 point victory is its largest in the UW-UCLA series. Washington's previous high was a 23 point, 98-75 win in Seattle on Jan. 4, 1997.
The Huskies nine blocks was a season high, eclipsing the previous high of five set versus Santa Clara and WSU. The Huskies had eight blocks in the first half alone.
Washington put five players in double-digit scoring for the fourth time this season, and second time in the last four games.
UCLA's 28% shooting was the second lowest by a Husky opponent this season, only Northeastern (14 of 54, 26%) shot worse than the Bruins.
This game marks the 12th time in 13 games this season that the Huskies had fewer turnovers than their opponent.
