2016: Enjoyed his best season as a Husky and climbed to No. 7 in school history in the shot put with a big toss at the Pac-12 Championships … at Pac-12s, he went over 61-feet for the first time in his career, hitting 61-6 ¾ good for sixth-place in an extremely talented field … went over 60-feet on two more occasions, throwing 60-6 ¾ to win the UW-WSU Dual shot put, and going 60-3 ¼ at the Pepsi Team Invitational to take third … advanced to NCAA West Prelims, finishing 28th overall with a throw of 58-2 … took first at the Ken Shannon Invite with a put of 59-4 ¾ … season-best discus throw of 167-11 at Ken Shannon Invite … indoors, matched his PR with a mark of 59-10 ½ at the UW Indoor Open … tough day at the MPSF Championships, finishing 18th with a mark of 55-8 ½ … also tossed 59-6 ¾ at the UW Invitational … a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2015: Led the team in the shot put and the discus in his first year on the squad, earning a spot at NCAA West Prelims in both events … threw a new career-best of 183-2 in the discus at the Pac-12 Championships to finish fourth, after he had placed 12th in the shot put the day before … fouled in the discus at West Prelims in Austin, and went 56-10 ¼ in the shot put to finish 36th overall … swept the shot put and the discus at the UW-WSU Dual, winning the shot put at 58-5 ¾ and the discus with a then-PR throw of 179-1 … also won the shot and discus at the Ken Shannon Invite, going 173-3 in the discus and 58-3 in the shot put … fourth in the shot (53-8 ¼) and third in the discus (164-4) at the Pepsi Team Invite … went 172-0 in the discus at the Stanford Invitational and 57-11 ¾ in the shot put … indoors, had the best shot put by a Husky since 1998 with a mark of 59-10 ½ at the Husky Classic … took seventh in the shot put at the MPSF Championships, throwing 59-6 ¼ … also put the shot 59-4 ¼ at the UW Indoor Open ... earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.
2013-14 (At Western Washington): One of the top throwers in Division-II, as he capped his sophomore year with a third-place finish in the shot put at the 2014 NCAA D-II Championships … named the 2013-14 Western Male Athlete of the Year … threw a new PR of 60-10 ½ at the NCAA meet to set a new Great Northwest Athletic Conference record … also qualified for NCAAs in the discus in 2014, finishing 13th overall with a mark of 168-3 … season-best in the discus was a 173-11 toss at the Husky Outdoor Track, as he won the Washington Open on April 12 … won the GNAC shot put title with a toss of 59-7 … indoors, the sophomore was named the USTFCCCA West Region Field Athlete of the Year … set the Western indoor record at the UW Indoor Open with a toss of 57-5 ½ … qualified for 2014 NCAA D-II Indoors, finishing 17th in the shot put at 52-4 ½ …
High School and Personal: Born in Moses Lake, Washington … parents are Veronica and William Catelli … has two older brothers, Declan and Clancy … attended the U.S. Air Force Prep School and PeninsulaCollege (Port Angeles, Wash.) before attending Western … was the Washington State 2A shot put champion as a junior in 2011, and had a high school best of 58-1 ½ to win districts … also made the 2011 state meet in the discus and the javelin, finishing 12th and 11th … had a best high school javelin mark of 177-3 as a sophomore.
