2016: Enjoyed his best season as a Husky and climbed to No. 7 in school history in the shot put with a big toss at the Pac-12 Championships โฆ at Pac-12s, he went over 61-feet for the first time in his career, hitting 61-6 ยพ good for sixth-place in an extremely talented field โฆ went over 60-feet on two more occasions, throwing 60-6 ยพ to win the UW-WSU Dual shot put, and going 60-3 ยผ at the Pepsi Team Invitational to take third โฆ advanced to NCAA West Prelims, finishing 28th overall with a throw of 58-2 โฆ took first at the Ken Shannon Invite with a put of 59-4 ยพ โฆ season-best discus throw of 167-11 at Ken Shannon Invite โฆ indoors, matched his PR with a mark of 59-10 ยฝ at the UW Indoor Open โฆ tough day at the MPSF Championships, finishing 18th with a mark of 55-8 ยฝ โฆ also tossed 59-6 ยพ at the UW Invitational โฆ a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2015: Led the team in the shot put and the discus in his first year on the squad, earning a spot at NCAA West Prelims in both events โฆ threw a new career-best of 183-2 in the discus at the Pac-12 Championships to finish fourth, after he had placed 12th in the shot put the day before โฆ fouled in the discus at West Prelims in Austin, and went 56-10 ยผ in the shot put to finish 36th overall โฆ swept the shot put and the discus at the UW-WSU Dual, winning the shot put at 58-5 ยพ and the discus with a then-PR throw of 179-1 โฆ also won the shot and discus at the Ken Shannon Invite, going 173-3 in the discus and 58-3 in the shot put โฆ fourth in the shot (53-8 ยผ) and third in the discus (164-4) at the Pepsi Team Invite โฆ went 172-0 in the discus at the Stanford Invitational and 57-11 ยพ in the shot put โฆ indoors, had the best shot put by a Husky since 1998 with a mark of 59-10 ยฝ at the Husky Classic โฆ took seventh in the shot put at the MPSF Championships, throwing 59-6 ยผ โฆ also put the shot 59-4 ยผ at the UW Indoor Open ... earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.
2013-14 (At Western Washington): One of the top throwers in Division-II, as he capped his sophomore year with a third-place finish in the shot put at the 2014 NCAA D-II Championships โฆ named the 2013-14 Western Male Athlete of the Year โฆ threw a new PR of 60-10 ยฝ at the NCAA meet to set a new Great Northwest Athletic Conference record โฆ also qualified for NCAAs in the discus in 2014, finishing 13th overall with a mark of 168-3 โฆ season-best in the discus was a 173-11 toss at the Husky Outdoor Track, as he won the Washington Open on April 12 โฆ won the GNAC shot put title with a toss of 59-7 โฆ indoors, the sophomore was named the USTFCCCA West Region Field Athlete of the Year โฆ set the Western indoor record at the UW Indoor Open with a toss of 57-5 ยฝ โฆ qualified for 2014 NCAA D-II Indoors, finishing 17th in the shot put at 52-4 ยฝ โฆ
High School and Personal: Born in Moses Lake, Washington โฆ parents are Veronica and William Catelli โฆ has two older brothers, Declan and Clancy โฆ attended the U.S. Air Force Prep School and PeninsulaCollege (Port Angeles, Wash.) before attending Western โฆ was the Washington State 2A shot put champion as a junior in 2011, and had a high school best of 58-1 ยฝ to win districts โฆ also made the 2011 state meet in the discus and the javelin, finishing 12th and 11th โฆ had a best high school javelin mark of 177-3 as a sophomore.
