2024: Broke the School Record in the weight throw in her final season and improved her PRs outdoors in the discus and hammer β¦ made NCAA West Prelims in both the discus and hammer once again, placing 16th in the discus and 30th in the hammer in her final meet as a Dawg β¦ was eighth in the discus and 10th in the hammer at the Pac-12 Championships β¦ set a hammer throw PR of 197-2 at the Mt. SAC Relays to go to No. 2 in school history β¦ new discus PR of 186-0 at the Fresno State Invite, also No. 2 in school history in that event β¦ indoors, became the first Husky to throw over 70-feet in the weight throw, going 70-1 at the UW Invitational β¦ then extended that record again in her final indoor meet, going 71-0 Β½ at the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet β¦ finished 18th nationally in the weight throw, missing the NCAA meet by two spots, and three inches β¦ won all six of the weight throw competitions she was in β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2023: Continued to improve her PRs in the hammer and weight throws, and scored at Pac-12s in the hammer and the discus β¦ advanced to NCAA West Prelims in the discus, finishing 26th overall at 167-10 β¦ at Pac-12s, a season-best discus throw of 173-2 for eighth, and set multiple hammer PRs in the same competition, with a best of 190-3, to place seventh and go to No. 3 in school history β¦ that Pac-12 hammer raised her PR by over six feet β¦ threw 172-0 in the discus at the Triton Invitational β¦ indoors, PRβd in the final meet of the season in the weight throw, getting a best of 68-5 at the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet to improve her No. 2 mark in school history β¦ ranked 29th nationally in the weight throw for the year ... won the Husky Classic weight throw at 67-3 Β½ β¦ third at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic throwing 67-6 ΒΌ β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2022: Reached her first NCAA Championships in the discus, and moved to No. 3 in school history, earning All-America honorable mention β¦ made nationals with an 11th-place finish at NCAA West Prelims, throwing 182-4 β¦ was 20th in the discus at the NCAA Championships β¦ set discus PR of 183-7 at the Fresno State Invite β¦ at Pac-12s, was 12th in the discus and 18th in the hammer β¦ established new hammer best of 179-3 at the Fresno State Invite, going to No. 6 in school history β¦ won the UW-WSU Dual discus throwing 180-0 β¦ indoors, continued to climb the recordbooks in the weight throw, going to No. 2 all-time with a PR of 66-0 Β½ at the Husky Classic β¦ second in the weight at the Pac-12 Invite, going 64-2 ΒΌΒ β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team β¦ a Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll member.
2021: Moved up the Husky top-10 lists in the discus and weight throw and qualified for her first NCAA West Preliminaries β¦ threw a discus PR of 170-10 at the West Coast Relays to go to No. 6 in school history β¦ was 18th in the discus at Pac-12 Championships β¦ finished 45th overall at NCAA Prelims β¦ second in the discus at the UW-WSU Dual going 163-8 and was third in the hammer at 161-8 β¦ season-best hammer throw of 164-6 at the Jim Bush Legends Invite for third β¦ indoors, climbed to No. 4 in school history in the weight throw with a PR of 61-10 ΒΌ to win the UW Invitational β¦ made the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): Competed five times in the weight throw indoors and set a PR all five times she competed β¦ started out with a 50-10 mark at the UW Indoor Preview β¦ improved to 51-5 3/4 at the UW Invitational β¦ threw 52-4 1/2 at the Husky Classic β¦ PRβd again at the UW Last Chance Meet to 53-6 1/2 β¦ finally at the MPSF Championships, finished 11th in the weight with another PR by over a foot, going 54-9 1/2 to finish her freshman season ranked No. 6 in school history.
High School and Personal: Born in Silverspring, Maryland β¦ parents are Gilbert and Rebecca Asomaning β¦ has two younger sisters, Bethel and Bennie β¦ the 2019 SPSL Field Athlete of the Year β¦ won the 2019 4A state discus title with a throw of 146-7, winning by seventeen feet β¦ also took sixth in the shot put as a senior with a PR of 40-0 β¦ a personal-best discus throw of 150-3 during her senior year that was the top mark in the state β¦ fourth in the state in the discus as a junior β¦ also played three years of volleyball in high school and was a two-year captain, leading her squad to sixth at the 2019 state tournament and was All-SPSL.
