Washington Women’s Basketball Announces Complete 2025-26 Schedule
September 18, 2025 | Women's Basketball
SEATTLE - Building on the momentum from last season's NCAA Tournament berth, the Huskies will challenge 16 other March Madness teams over the course of non-conference and Big Ten play.
Washington unveiled its schedule Thursday afternoon, which begins with a season-opener against Seattle U on Nov. 3 in Alaska Airlines Arena.
The Huskies will play eight of their 11 non-conference games at home, while facing off against Top 50 opponents Utah (Nov. 15) and Stanford (Dec. 19) on the road. After playing the Cardinal, the Huskies will stay in Northern California for a meeting against Pacific (Dec. 21) in Stockton, Calif.
The meeting against the Utes kicks off a stretch in which the Huskies will face five NCAA Tournament teams in seven non-conference games, with Washington facing a slate that includes Vermont (Nov. 23), Southern (Nov. 25), UC San Diego (Nov. 28), and Green Bay (Dec. 13). All four teams won their respective conference championships, and each program will travel to Seattle for a meeting with the Huskies.
Washington will also host Montana (Nov. 10), Fresno State (Nov. 19), and San Jose State (Dec. 1) in non-conference play.
After the Spartans leave town, Washington will briefly break up non-conference play with a trip to the City of Angels for its first Big Ten meeting of the season, facing USC on Dec. 7.
The meeting with the Trojans will be the first of 18 conference games. The Huskies will face off against each Big Ten opponent at least once, and will play Oregon twice, with the first meeting set for Alaska Airlines Arena (Feb. 15) while the second will be played in Eugene, Ore. for the final regular-season game (Mar. 1).
The Huskies will welcome eight single-play home opponents, including Northwestern (Dec. 29), Michigan (Jan. 1), Michigan State (Jan. 8), Minnesota (Jan. 18), Penn State (Jan. 21), Illinois (Feb. 1), Ohio State (Feb. 5), and Nebraska (Feb. 22).
In addition to USC, Washington will face seven more single-play road opponents, beginning with Purdue (Jan. 11), then Indiana (Jan. 14), Rutgers (Jan. 25), Maryland (Jan. 28), Wisconsin (Feb. 8), Iowa (Feb. 11), and UCLA (Feb. 19).
The Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament is scheduled for Mar. 4-8, 2026 in Indianapolis, Ind. at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. All TV designations and tip times will be released at a later date.
Washington returns eight players from last season's squad, making the Huskies one of only three Power Four teams that did not lose a single player to the transfer portal. UW is the only school in the country to return a 40-point scorer, a 30-point scorer, and a 20-point scorer, bringing back Elle Ladine, Sayvia Sellers, and Hannah Stines, respectively.
The roster is bolstered by two new additions with Big Ten experience, adding Avery Howell (USC) and Yulia Grabovskaia (Michigan) this offseason. Washington also welcomes its third top-15 recruiting class in the past four seasons, with Brynn McGaughy, Nina Cain, Sienna Harvey, and Daniella McLean joining the fold.
Fans will have their first opportunity to meet the Washington women's basketball team on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. in front of the Suzzallo Library at the Red Square Pep Rally, where the Huskies will kick off the school year with live music, chants, and spirit.
