No. 1 Huskies Headed To Inaugural MPSF Championships
May 12, 2025 | Men's Rowing
The No. 1-ranked Washington men's rowing team heads to the inaugural Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Rowing Championships this weekend at Lake Natoma, in Gold River, Calif.
After decades participating in what was the Pac-8, Pac-10 and Pac-12, the Husky men now compete in the MPSF, which includes each of its most recent conference rivals – California, Oregon State and Stanford – along with Gonzaga, San Diego, Santa Clara and UC San Diego.
The eight schools will compete in the two-day regatta Sat., May 17, and Sun., May 18, at Lake Natoma, which served as host site for most Pac-12 Championship regattas in recent years. Overnght.com will provide live video streaming. That same website will also stream IRA championships later this spring.
In a manner similar to the IRA national championship, the winner of the varsity eight grand final will be named MPSF Champion this weekend.
Here is the schedule of races involving UW crews (the MPSFs are being held in conjunction with WCC and GNAC championships):
