
Sellers Named To Media’s Pac-12 All-Freshman Team

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Washington women's basketball freshman guard Sayvia Sellers has earned a Pac-12 Media Award, having been named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team, as voted on by media who cover the conference, the Pac-12 announced today.
Sellers is the first UW freshman to be named to the First Team since 2016-17, and sixth all-time.
In conference play, Sellers recorded 8.3 points per game, 3.0 rebound per game, 2.2 assists per game, and led the team in steals (22) and steals per game (1.2). Her steals per game ranks No. 15 amongst all of conference players.
In Washington's win vs. Oregon on February 23, Sellers recorded 10 assists, becoming the second freshman in UW history to have 10+ assists in a game (first since 1982), the first UW player to record 10+ assists since 2017, and the 15th player in program history to record 10+ assists.
On Tuesday, Sellers was named to the Pac-12's All-Freshman Team, as voted on by the conference coaches. She became the 15th player in program history to be named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman First Team, and first since 2016-17.
