
Washington To Face TCU in Round of 32

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Dawgs keep dancing.
The Huskies (22-10, 10-8 Big Ten) will face the TCU Horned Frogs (30-5, 15-3 Big 12) in a Round of 32 matchup at Schollmaier Arena on the campus of TCU on Sunday, March 22.
Sunday's second round game will be televised on ESPN at 7:00 p.m. PT with Chuckie Kempf (play-by-play) and Brooke Weisbrod (analyst) announcing.
Jason Dorow and Elise Woodward will call the action for the Dawgs on 950 KJR-AM.
The winner of UW/TCU will advance to the Sweet Sixteen to face either 2nd-seed Iowa (27-6) or 10th-seed Virginia (21-11) inside the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Tip-off time is TBD.
Sunday will be the first all-time meeting between Washington and TCU and will be the 20th NCAA Tournament appearance for the Dawgs.
HUSKIES IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
The last time UW was in the Big Dance (excluding the First Four) was 2017, when the Dawgs advanced to the Sweet Sixteen against Mississippi State.
In the regular season, the Huskies faced 15 teams that are slotted to play in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, with 11 of those being Big Ten opponents. Washington also faced Southern, UC San Diego, Vermont, and Green Bay.
LAST TIME OUT - 72-54 Win Against South Dakota State
Avery Howell finished with 30 points, nine rebounds, and a career-high 7 3-pointers made. Her seven made shots from deep moves her into a tie for third most in a single game by a player in March Madness.
Brynn McGaughy finished in double figures for the fifth time in the last six games, recording 14 points and four rebounds.
Sayvia Sellers matched her career-high with 10 assists. She sits three assists shy of the most in a season since Kelsey Plum in 2016-17.
Washington finished with an assist on 21 of its 27 buckets, a mark that sets a new season-high.
The Huskies forced 18 turnovers from South Dakota State, the fourth-most this season for the Jackrabbits.

With its victory over UC San Diego on Friday, TCU recorded its 30th win in a season for the second consecutive campaign. The Horned Frogs also returned to March Madness for the second straight season, doing so via an at-large bid after falling to West Virginia in the Big 12 Championship.
Last year in NCAA play, TCU advanced all the way to the Elite Eight after defeating FDU, Louisville, and Notre Dame.
The Horned Frogs enter Sunday's meeting with a 30-5 record overall and 15-3 in league action.
