
Home Stand Continues Sunday With First Time Matchup With Siena

SEATTLE -- Washington women's basketball (2-0, 0-0 Big Ten) will continue its opening week homestand Sunday with its first ever matchup with Siena College at 2 p.m.
The game will be available on B1G+ and Dick Fain will be on the call. Gary Hill will call the game on 1090 KPTR-AM.
LAST TIME OUT
On Thursday night against Pacific and for the second straight game, every Husky made their way into the scoring column for Washington, who defeated the Tigers 81-50 in front of 1,717 fans in Alaska Airlines Arena.
The Dawgs have gotten off to a hot offensive start through two games, shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from the three-point line.
Sayvia Sellers led the Dawgs with seven assists on Monday against Seattle U and in scoring on Thursday night, finishing with a team-high 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting (4-of-5 from 3).
Hannah Stines helped her squad in nearly every statistical category, notching eight points, seven rebounds, five assists, and a career-best five steals.
Elle Ladine finished with 12 points in her second straight double-digit scoring game, while Shayla Gillmer registered a career-high eight points on 3-of-4 shooting.
SCOUTING REPORT
Sunday's game marks just the second time Siena has traveled to the west coast for a game – the first time since the 2000-01 season – and the first time competing in the state of Washington.
Siena was selected to finish second in the 2024 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll for the second consecutive season.
Siena is 0-1 to start this season, dropping their home opener to Army 66-56 on Nov. 6.
The Saints finished the 2023-24 season 18-12, including a 14-6 record in the MAAC.
