
Washington Falls To Arizona State

SEATTLE – Washington women's basketball (12-5, 2-4 Pac-12) fell to Arizona State (9-10, 1-6) 65-73 Sunday afternoon in Alaska Airlines Arena.
It was a battle until the very end, as the Huskies kept fighting to stay in it.
Going into halftime, UW went on a run but trailed by four, despite shooting 52.6%. Hannah Stines was already in double-digit scoring after knocking down three three-pointers in the first half.
Elle Ladine joined Stines in double digits when she hit a three-pointer in the third quarter. Ladine finished with 12 points.
Stines drained another three to tie her career high made three-pointers in game with her fourth, a career high she set Friday night in the win over Arizona. She finished with a team-leading 20 points.
Sayvia Sellers had a strong take and was awarded an and-one opportunity, converting the three-point play to fire up the Huskies. It was a close game with UW only trailing by three at the end of the third quarter.
The Huskies refused to quit, putting up a lot of fight through the fourth quarter. Lauren Schwartz was the third Husky in double-digit scoring after hitting a three-pointer and closing the gap.
Dalayah Daniels finished with a game-high and season-high 12 rebounds. She also recorded three blocks, which put her in the UW Top 10 for career blocked shots as a Husky.
Next up, Washington heads to Los Angeles to take on UCLA Friday at 7 p.m. PT and USC on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.
