Washington Bows Out of Pac-12 Tournament with Loss to Oregon

Kiefer Lord took the loss, allowing six runs over two innings.

The Huskies (34-18, 17-12 Pac-12) found themselves in an early hole as Oregon scored three runs apiece in the first and second innings to go ahead 6-0.

UW answered back with a massive two-out rally in the third, scoring five to draw the deficit down to one.

Following a Cam Clayton walk and a Will Simpson infield single, Coby Morales plastered a 3-1 offering well past the wall in right-center, a three-run shot to cut the Duck lead in half. AJ Guerrero followed up with a single and Johnny Tincher walked before Jeter Ybarra and Michael Snyder notched back-to-back RBI singles, putting the score at 6-5.

Oregon responded with a five spot of its own in the fifth, giving the Ducks some distance once again at 11-5.

The Huskies got two runs back in the fifth on an RBI single by Snyder and a sacrifice fly by Clayton but they would get no closer as the Ducks advanced to the Pac-12 Tournament Final.

β’ Will Simpson extended his hitting streak to 16 games, the longest by a Husky since at least 2015.
