TEMPE, Ariz. -- Washington women's basketball (10-9, 2-7) concludes its trip to the desert at Arizona State (7-11, 0-7) Sunday, Jan. 29 in Tempe, Ariz. The game tips off at 11:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. MT and will be aired on Pac-12 Washington with Cindy Brunson and Joan Bonvicini on the call. Gary Hill will call the action on 1090 KPTR-AM.

Haley Van Dyke, in her 125th career game as a Husky, led all scorers with 16 points, a new season high. Van Dyke also recorded 8 rebounds, tying her season high. Jayda Noble recorded a steal for her 6th-straight game. Lauren Schwartz (13 points) and Hannah Stines (11) were the other two Huskies in double digits on the night. Schwartz has scored in double digits in last 7 of 9 games. The 61 points scored by Arizona was their second-lowest scoring game in conference play so far this season, and their lowest in a win. UW held Arizona to 41% from the field on the game, below their season (46%) and conference (45%) average. UW held Arizona to 27% from three, below their season (37%) and conference (35%) averages. UW out-rebounded Arizona 35-31.

THE TEAM

Washington returns eight Huskies from last season with Lauren Schwartz, Jayda Noble, Haley Van Dyke, Nia Lowery, TT Watkins, Trinity Oliver, Lexi Griggsby, and Darcy Rees. Fans will see six new faces on the team this season, as the Huskies welcomed four freshmen from California - Hannah Stines, Teagan Brown, Shayla Gillmer, and Elle Ladine - and two transfers, Dalayah Daniels (Cal) and Emma Grothaus (Lehigh).

2023 Signing Class
Washington women's basketball welcomed four new Huskies on National Signing Day (11.09.22) with ESPN.com's 14th-ranked recruiting class. This is the second class in a row ranked in the Top 15 that Coach Langley and staff have signed. The Huskies added four standouts to the program with Olivia Anderson, Chloe Briggs, Ari Long, and Sayvia Sellers.

On November 15, the Atlanta Tipoff Club named Long and Sellers to the 2023 Jersey Mike's Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List. Long and Sellers are two of the 50 girls named to the watch list. On January 11, Sellers was one of 25 named to the Naismith High School Midseason Team. On January 11, Briggs, Long, and Sellers were named 2023 McDonald's All American Games Nominees.

PRESEASON NODS

Van Dyke earned Preseason All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition, and Grothaus was one of 20 players named to the 2023 Lisa Lisa Award Watch List.
