SERIES HISTORY VS. UCLA and LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
β’ UCLA: The Bruins hold the all-time series advantage over UW, 47-20. Last season, the Huskies won their first series against the Bruins since 2006. Noah Bremer threw a complete-game, six-hitter last year vs. UCLA but lost 1-0 to Griffin Canning, who also threw a complete game. UW rebounded with wins of 8-7 and 7-4 in Seattle. The last time the Huskies won a series in L.A. against the Bruins was 2005 when they swept the three-game series. Since that sweep, the Huskies are 8-25 over the last 11 series against the Bruins. Coach Lindsay Meggs played for UCLA from 1980-83 and was HM All-Pac-10 in 1983. He is 4-17 against his alma mater since taking over in 2010.
β’ LMU: Washington leads the all-time series 4-2. The Huskies swept a three-game series vs. the Lions in 2004 in Seattle. In the year prior, the Huskies won the first meeting Feb. 14, 2003, 10-9, but dropped the final two games of the series in L.A.Β
