
No. 10 Huskies Host Arizona Friday

SEATTLE -- The No. 10 University of Washington women's basketball team (22-3, 10-2) continues Pac-12 play at home, hosting Arizona on Friday (Feb. 10) and Arizona State on Sunday (Feb. 12). The games will air live on Pac-12 Networks with radio coverage on gohuskies.leanplayer.com.
Washington is coming off a road sweep in the mountains, beating Utah 82-53 and Colorado 79-75. Chantel Osahor, the nation's leading rebounder, registered a double-double in both games, upping her total to 20 on the season which tops the NCAA. Kelsey Plum, the nation's leading scorer, recorded 24 at Utah and 28 against Colorado.
In the latest AP Top 25 poll, Washington remained at No. 10, joining four other Pac-12 schools: Stanford at No. 8, Oregon State at No. 9, UCLA at No. 15 and Arizona State at No. 23. The Huskies are ranked No. 8 in the latest RPI poll.
The Huskies top the nation in several statistical categories: second in made three-pointers (270), third in three-point field goals per game (10.8), third in made free throws (397), fifth in scoring margin (24.1), sixth in points per game (86.1) and ninth in field goal percentage (47.2).
Osahor enters Friday's game 19 points shy of 1,000 for her career. She has the opportunity to become just the second player in Washington history to record 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career, joining Amber Hall.
Plum and Osahor are leading the nation in scoring and rebounding, respectively. Plum is averaging 30.9 points per game and Osahor is averaging 14.9 rebounds per game to go along with 15.6 points. Osahor's 20 double-doubles this season also tops the NCAA and her 32 career double-doubles is second-most in program history.

Head coach Mike Neighbors and Plum, Osahor and Katie Collier are undefeated against Arizona (5-0). This will be the second time this season Washington has faced former Husky assistant Adia Barnes' team. The Huskies and Wildcats met in Tucson on Jan. 13 with Washington winning 90-73. In the game, Plum scored 36 points to become the 12th player in women's basketball history to top 3,000 career points and first in Pac-12 history.
