
No. 11 Washington Concludes Regular Season At Home Against Utah

SEATTLE -- The No. 11 University of Washington women's basketball team (26-4, 14-3) concludes its regular season at home, hosting Utah on Saturday (Feb. 25). The game will air live on Pac-12 Networks with radio coverage on AM 1150 KKNW and gohuskies.leanplayer.com. Pre-game coverage will start 30 minutes prior to tip time.
Washington is coming off a 79-46 win at home against Colorado on Thursday (Feb. 23). The Huskies put three in double-figures led by senior Chantel Osahor who scored 24 points, one shy of tying her career-high, and pulled down 20 rebounds. It was the seventh time this season the Phoenix, Ariz. native grabbed 20 or more boards. Senior Kelsey Plum (25) and junior Natalie Romeo (14) also scored in double figures. In the game, Osahor broke her own single-season rebounding record and now has 436 this season, which leads the NCAA.
Plum enters Saturday's game with 3,340 career points and is 54 points away from breaking the all-time NCAA scoring record, 46 from breaking the single-season Pac-12 scoring record and 39 shy of Washington's single-season record. Junior Natalie Romeo is also inching closer to a milestone number as she enters tomorrow's game nine points shy of 1,000 for her career.
In the latest AP Top 25 poll, Washington dropped two spots to No. 11, joining three other Pac-12 schools: Stanford at No. 8, Oregon State at No. 10 and UCLA at No. 15. The Huskies are ranked No. 7 in the latest RPI poll.
The Huskies, who have already notched its sixth consecutive 20-win season, have clinched a top-four seed in the Pac-12 Tournament, and a first-round bye. Washington currently has a six-game lead over fifth-place team Oregon with one game to play.
The Huskies top the nation in several statistical categories, including leading the NCAA in made three-pointers (311), second in three-point field goals per game (10.4), second in made free throws (478), fifth in points per game (85.3), fifth in scoring margin (22.9) and eighth in field goal percentage (47.3).
Plum and Osahor are leading the nation in scoring and rebounding, respectively. Plum is averaging 30.7 points per game and Osahor is averaging 15.0 rebounds per game to go along with 16.0 points. Osahor's 25 double-doubles this season also tops the NCAA and her 37 career double-doubles is second-most in program history.

Head coach Mike Neighbors and seniors Plum, Osahor and Katie Collier are 6-3 against Utah and are undefeated at home against the Utes (3-0). Earlier this month in Salt Lake City, Washington beat Utah, 82-53. The two teams met twice last season, splitting the series 1-1. In Salt Lake City (Jan. 4, 2016), the Huskies lost, 88-83, before winning at home, 73-60 (Feb. 25, 2016).
