
No. 7 Washington Hosts No. 10 Stanford For Top-10 Showdown

SEATTLE -- The No. 7 University of Washington women's basketball team (20-2, 8-1) continues Pac-12 play at home on Sunday (Jan. 29), hosting No. 10 Stanford at 5 p.m. PT. The game will air live on Pac-12 Networks with radio coverage on gohuskies.leanplayer.com. The Huskies, who are currently on a six-game Pac-12 win streak, are undefeated at home this season (12-0).
Washington is coming off a 90-67 win at home over Cal on Friday. Junior Natalie Romeo drained a career-high 10 three-pointers and the team hit 18 from beyond the arc in the game. Senior Kelsey Plum, the nation's leading scorer, scored 24 points and senior Chantel Osahor accounted for her nation-leading 18th double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 boards.
In the latest AP Top 25 poll, Washington moved up one spot to No. 7, its highest ranking of the season, joining four other Pac-12 schools: Stanford at No. 10, Oregon State at No. 11, UCLA at No. 13 and Arizona State at No. 16.
Washington is ranked No. 8 in the latest RPI poll, joining Oregon State (No. 7), UCLA (No. 9), Stanford (No. 12) and Arizona State (No. 19) in the Top 20.
The Huskies are leading the nation in several categories, including 243 made three-pointers. Washington ranks third in three-point field goals per game (11.0), fourth in points per game (87.5), fourth in scoring margin (26.0) and seventh in field goal percentage (47.8).
Plum and Osahor are leading the nation in scoring and rebounding, respectively. Plum is averaging 30.7 points per game and Osahor is averaging 14.5 rebounds per game to go along with 15.6 points. Osahor's 18 double-doubles this season also tops the NCAA and is tied for second-most in program history.
Just 11 games into her senior season, Plum broke the all-time Pac-12 scoring record and seven games later, she became the first player in Pac-12 history, female or male, to score 3,000 career points. She now has 3,070 total, seventh-most in NCAA history. With one more three-pointer, she will become just the second player in Pac-12 history to record 300.

Coach Mike Neighbors and Plum, Osahor and Katie Collier are 3-4 against Stanford in the previous three seasons. The two teams met three times last season, most recently in the Elite Eight where the Huskies beat the Cardinal, 85-76 to advance to the program's first-ever Final Four. Washington also beat Stanford (73-65) in the Pac-12 Tournament on March 4, 2016. The Cardinal beat the Huskies in the regular season, 69-53.
