
No. 7 Washington Returns Home To Host Cal Friday

SEATTLE -- The No. 7 University of Washington women's basketball team returns home on Friday (Jan. 27) to play Cal (15-5, 3-5) at 6 p.m. PT at Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will air live on Pac-12 Networks with radio coverage on gohuskies.leanplayer.com.
The Huskies, who are currently on a five-game Pac-12 win streak, are undefeated at home this season and tied atop the Pac-12 standings with a 7-1 record and are 19-2 overall on the season.
The matchup features two of the top scorers in the country in senior Kelsey Plum and Cal's Kristine Anigwe. Plum leads the nation in scoring, averaging 31 points per game, while Anigwe is second in the conference with 22.3 per game.
The Huskies are coming off an 87-44 road win against in-state rival Washington State in Pullman. In the game, senior Chantel Osahor accounted for 30 rebounds, a new Pac-12 record while also becoming the third player in program history to record 1,000 career rebounds.
In the latest AP Top 25 poll, Washington moved up one spot to No. 7, its highest ranking of the season, joining four other Pac-12 schools: Stanford at No. 10, Oregon State at No. 11, UCLA at No. 13 and Arizona State at No. 16.
Washington is ranked No. 6 in the latest RPI poll, joining Oregon State (No. 8), Stanford (No. 10) UCLA (No. 11) and Arizona State (No. 17) in the Top 20.
The Huskies are leading the nation in several categories, including 225 made three-pointers and 345 made free throws. Washington ranks third in three-point field goals per game (10.7), fourth in points per game (87.3), fifth in scoring margin (26.2) and sixth in field goal percentage (48.0).
Washington is led by Plum and Osahor are leading the nation in scoring and rebounding, respectively. Plum is averaging 31 points per game and Osahor is averaging 14.7 rebounds per game to go along with 15.6 points. Osahor's 17 double-doubles this season also tops the NCAA.
Just 11 games into her senior season, Plum broke the all-time Pac-12 scoring record and seven games later, she became the first player in Pac-12 history, female or male, to score 3,000 career points. She now has 3,070 total, seventh-most in NCAA history. With one more three-pointer, she will become just the second player in Pac-12 history to record 300.
